whats the difference between the d2r bulb vs the d2s bulb besides the notch thing? whats the benefit of changing the d2r?

 

The D2R is designed to work in a reflector setup and the D2S is for a projector setup. The benefit of running the appropriate bulb for your application is better light output.

Also is there a way to upgrade the bulb quality???? from 4300 to 6000 or 6500?

 

We do have the PIAA 6600K D2S, but it would be an additional $175.00...

 

what's the difference? i forgot but is high temp more blue in color....I like that sharp blue color....I'm interested in the group buy!

 

They will be a bit more blue on the edges of the beam. Try doing a search, I know people have posted the 6000K pics on this forum.

 

Prob with 6k, is that it's not legal in the states. Grounds for a fix-it ticket if your unlucky.
