if this is BS can you not get them of false advertising. It says full to partial sponsership.www.sportcompactpro.com call and see if it sounds legit to you guys 18889997621 and no i have not sent any money to them. I just got the e-mail to day when i got home.Everyone should be aware of this if it is TURE or FALSE about these advertisements.

Legally a $1.00 discount can count as a partial sponsership. Be careful. I know 2 people who are sponsored, PimpinPearl and ZeroToSixty (formerly known as ThoughtZ). They don't receive checks, they just get a discount on products in return for going to a certain number of car shows.

The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

Since you have yet to send them any money, all I would suggest is the following:

Re: Just Got Sponsorship.

Garbage. Plain and simple.

Being sponsored means you get product at insanely low cost, before anyone else or completely for free. My last car was sponsored by a hand full of companies and non of them offered me a damn thing. I had to work for all of it. I ran into this same offer with a company like that, pay $80 get a list of companies they support and blah blah blah. It's an okay deal if you're just starting out and use the discounts, but it's mostly worthless because they don't carry anything of worth.

Remember, putting a sticker on your car doesn't make you sponsored.

Re: Just Got Sponsorship.

yea that is a load of crap, they called me to and i told them to shutup. I've been sponsored by 3 different companies and never once have they asked me to pay for stuff. If it was real, you would get a contract and a discount that is it. If you really want sponsorships, go after name companies directly, such as brembo, Greddy and whoever makes parts for your car.

Re: Just Got Sponsorship.

Well my friend got a sponsorship from the same company and I guess I could say it works. THey set you an account for you and you will have 12000 dollar credit( only partial sponsorships) you will pay half and they will half from your sponsor account. THe easiest way to say is that you are adding 24000 dollar worth parts in your car by only paying 12000 dollars.

Re: Just Got Sponsorship.

I didn' t read all the replies, but in order to get a true sponsorship with free parts, you need to start building your car for show/race. If it's for show, you have got to enter your car in as many car shows (the major ones). Once your car starts making a name for itself, then you can start sending out "proposals". Just remember that thousands of letters are received everyday from people wanting sponsorships. Something about you and your car has to catch their eye. If you want to make money with sponsors, well, good luck. Thats a huge road to go on. The hardest part is getting the first sponsor, usually you will start off with a couple of "Partial Sponsors". Once you get a couple, the rest come into play.
In your proposal, heres some things you may want to add, your goal with the car.....
how many and what shows you have entered so far...
obviously what mods you already have...
What your schedule is for the rest of the year and possibly the next (shows)
Any kind of publicity your car has already gotten or will be getting (photo shoots/placement in shows)

Hopefully this helps somewhat....... Good Luck!
