Dyno in the GTA

Can someone recommend a place in the GTA where I can dyno my car? I searched the old forms and its seems like Dyno Performance Service is no longer in business.

Thanks

Peter

Hey Peter...
Haven't heard of anyone on a dyno lately, since Simone did their dyno day.
....there are a buch of threads burried in here though.

IIRC there was a guy with a portable unit looking to do dyno meets.

Hey Ian,

I read through all the old threads, and it seems like the shops people went to are closed now. I have found a few places but would like some feedback if possible.

Splitfire in Brampton
Redline Performance in Scarborough
Pacione in pickering

They all seem to charge around 100 bucks for an hour, which is suppose to amount to 3 pulls.

When was the Dyno day at Simone? I thought it got cancelled.

Try 416-752-3966. I forgot guy's name, but he was way below $100 for 3 pulls.

Autoworks in Oshawa has a DynoJet. They did most of my testing there.

905-571-3369 ask for Paul. Tell him Sam sent you, it might be worth something.

Thanks for all the references everyone.

Seeing how I have never dyno'd my car, can someone explain how the whole process works? Am I the one who sits in the driver seat when the car is on the dyno? or do the people who work there get to do it?

Also, looking at my short list of bolt ons, would you recommend that I get my car tuned as well?

Thanks in advance.

Even though there isn't too much to expert from our VQs (they are so pushed to the limit already)... but as a gear-head, I like to quantify stuff instead of going with seat of pants.

Lightbulb ECU Dyno tuning in the GTA....

Does Vic do tunning? Do they have a dynamometer? I'm afraid I might be running a bit lean with the bolt-ons.

Just talked to Brian from Advance Powerhouse and Dino (www.advancepowerhouse.com) and he told me that he is nagotiating a deal that will allow him to change the maps on a factory ECUs on our cars. Moreover he told me that just with the breathing mods (intake/exhaust) the engine will not run lean... Anyways I will go to his shop for a Dyna once I'm done with the exhaust install.
