Can someone open their intel key up and take pics of the circuit and take measurements of the circuit.. i wanna try something, but i need the sizes first...

 

There is a thread of people saying they want the 05 sedan keyfob... I have looked for the 05 on ebay, but cant find them.

I assume you have or know where to get 05 key fobs?

 

(yea i started that one) but since some sedan ppl dont look in coupe area, i thought i would post here and ask them to get some measurements...

 

Dunno if I can crack mine without dicking it up, but I'll look..

Please man, you get 2 of them anyway dont you? Im trying like crazy to find sedan fobs but cant find any. Next step, dealership and their prizeOutDeAss tag...

 

I'm not sure what you are looking to do with it, but, if you were going to just use it as your key fob and use the key to start the car, it may not work. I am not sure 2 transponders (one in your key, one in intelligent key) will let the car start. I'd try to find someone local with intelligent key to see if it works. The intelligent key also "broadcasts" it's signal to the car, so that may be an issue too.

As far as getting 2 of them with the car...what does that matter? If he messes one up trying to open it, he is gonna have to pay big bux to get a new one. I'm all for helping someone out, don't get me wrong. But if it winds up costing me money....

 

obv.. dont break it... but i think it should open, bc u have to change the battery sometime.. but its fine, i going to call dealership and see if it can be programmed to open coupe doors...

 

What I, and rrpnow (i think), am trying to do is get the 05 Sedan key HOUSING, as in throw away the card and open up my keyfob, take away my card chip and shave the edges to have it fit the 05 sedan's housing. The only difference (if I manage to do this) would be having a nicer keyfob (of course it wouldnt be keyless). I just hate the coupe's keyfob!

 

yea thats what i thinking... OR if it is possible to somehow program the sedan keyfob... it should be... but eh, who knows... and plus even if it does trasmit the signal, the doors cant be opened, bc there is no button to push, so only the buttons on the keyfob would work... i should call dealership 2moro if i remember...
