Man, you must be buddhist or something - either that or you have a $100 comp deductible. My bumper got hit last week and I was pissed. Too expensive already, but not expensive enough to claim on my $500 collision deductible. It took me 2 hours to really calm down. I didn't put my fist through a wall, but it still sucks. It's too damned hard to keep a nice car nice in Chicago.

That's not right! I'm sorry for you; I suggest you get it fixed as soon as possible. Keying is like graffiti, if you let it stand you honor the person that put it there.

Don't be too quick to judgment about the perpetrator. You might be wrong and it's hard to take back an accusation once made.

Wow...that is a lot of coverage. Someone was really out to get you. If cost is the same in your area as mine, that is going to run close to a grand.

Well I can tell you that will come out. You need to find someone who does highspeed detailing professionally. Those are mostly surface scratches so they SHOULD come out. Seen worse than that come out.

I don't know G35_TX. I think you can minimize the appearance, but some of those look to be through the clear. Augy, run your finger nail over them. If the nail catches, you need a repaint.

A good detailer might be able to touchup/wetsand/polish those out, but you'll have a thinner clear as a result and it will likely cost almost as much as a repaint. Sucks man, let us know how it turns out.

Your nail can catch on deep scatches that fully didn't go through the clear. Trust me when I say it is possible that will come out.

There should be a special law about messing with a man's ride. That's like sacred ground. I'm glad you are taking it well. I don't know if it helps, but I've seen some new products and techniques on tv car shows that can fix paint without repainting the entire panel.
