I took my car to the body shop and they are deep scratches. They have to repaint the car where the damage is. I am going try and have just paint the whole car. I called my insurance and I have to of course pay my $500 deductible. Car is going to the body shop right now. Thanks for looking out fellas

just curious how much to repaint the whole car? I'm still wondering what it will be for one rear passenger door and a few small spots.

Lin...

A) Did not know he already had a kit

B) Like he just said, they are probably going to have to repaint the whole car, and most body shops will give you a deal on painting the doors and a kit as well. It's always cheaper to have paintwork done at the same time.

Ouch.. Just get everything done at once. Are you going to go for the stock color or something a little off or something crazy'?!

Hehehehe...I'll ask him if I could do a different color of black...From what they told they are doing the damaged areas. I think I should just key the rest of my car and have him re-paint it.

BMW has that black saphire metallic color...it's kinda like a dark dark charcoal or black depending on how the light hits it.

I feel your pain. My car received the same type of scratch(only one though). I checked around my area and found a reputible paint/body shop. Final cost was around $300.
