at the bottom of the **** there is a gray cap in picture and you slide it down pull the clip off with finger nail and remove **** then there is a plastic piece in the rod of the shifter remove it and insert the one from the 05-06 and leave the 05-06 one in one piece slide it down till it locks in place. I will make you a video if you would like lol
