Saw something here for sale, finally worked out a price for it, sent the money paypal 4 days ago , now the ******* backs out and refunds the money saying" I sold it local". I think he held money til he found someone with more money.Is there no one left that is a man and keeps to his word. This is the third time this has happened to me, so lame. What would you do other than this post?

That's messed up. When I make a deal - it's a deal. I wish I could say the same for some of the buyers on this site

Someone did something like that to me, we agreed to a price of $100 or something like that for a used and damaged bumper, it was his asking price - We made the agreement over the phone. I had dealt with him before and offered a deposit to seal the deal. He said no since we were meeting the next day.

I drove from Gainesville, FL to Orlando to pick it up and called him once on the way down - left a msg. As I reach my body guy in Orlando, the seller calls me and says that someone just offered him $170 and he was going to take that price and that the guy would meet him tomorrow. I told him that what he is doing isnt fair but I would match the $170 and meet him in 30 min.

In 15 min he texts me and says the guy is now paying $210 and that it's a done deal.....

He asked if $160 would do and I agreed and never heard back from him. In the meantime I sold the kit and today I noticed he sent me money while I was sending money through paypal. I refunded the money and PM'ed him with an appology.

He turned to name calling and neg. feedback. I sold 4 items here in the last couple of weeks and everything was shipped the same or next business day.

You be the judge.

 

^^^ If you sold 4 items, why do you have a Zero iTrader rating? +1 and -1... we have to base our opinion of you partly on what the OP is telling us.

And it looks to me like YOU never responded to HIM about the $160...

 

I sold over 10 items here over the years, but not everyone cares about the itrader ratings here.

You can believe the OP and you dont have to buy from me. I was just posting my side of the story thats all. Remember there is always 2 sides to the story, but the OP is prolly a bit too young and turns to name calling and throwing hissy fits.

I dont sit checking my paypal account every 5 min. I rarely use it.

That's Fuc'ed up I would have made him give me a discount from 210 back down to 170 for the wasted gas money for driving to orlando.

actually he replied to your offer of $170 with an offer of $160 at the top of the quotes. for someone who has sold so many items on here through the years, you should know to look at the top and bottom of a pm. bad break for lenny but what can you do.
