Yes, even after that ridiculous showing (or lack of) golf etiquette last time.
you may still not realize it..
But you DID affect a LOT of people's games that day... NEGATIVELY.

the only way you can come is if you'll be a caddy.
(only cuz i think you need to learn about the game a little more before you play again)

you game?

Maybe I'm taking your comment the wrong way Dru, but that wasn't very nice. People that want to come join for the first time might not want to now. Its about having a good time............

Oh well I guess I'll play golf another time.

Josh...
please don't take any form of offense from my statement to ohsobad.

During our first golf meet, he was rude, loud, and obnoxious.
Hey, i enjoy a good time too. But out there, there's limits.
It not only affected MY game but others as well.
Even when told to calm down, keep quiet, or being taught the rules of golf, he REFUSED to listen.
Instead he became defensive and unruly.

I want people to enjoy themselves.
That is why i'm pointing all this out.
It is because ohsobad was in the wrong.
And instead of listening and learning, his bark got louder and his actions wilder.

It's no fun to try and swing when someone's talking/yelling/laughing behind you.

Maybe it's just me.
But then again, i know it's not.

To Josh and others, i am not one to act irrationally.
If someone is in the wrong, i have ABSOLUTELY no fear of pointing it out.

That is all,
DRU

nah mkn1620.
come out fo sho.

we had a couple people shooting 40+ over par the last time.
no one laughed or pointed.

everyone's at a different skill level.
from VERY good to VERY new.
it's all about learning and enjoying the game.

and if you're worried about lack of skills...
as long as you're willing to listen, learn and improve, a couple of the G-owners are PGA certified teaching pros.
a few pointers from them and u'll do MUCH better almost instantly.
doesn't get any better than that.

golf is like any sports... you don't need to be a pro to play..but just make sure you follow other players teaching you the rules, manners and etiquette of golf and you'll be fine... remember golf is a gentleman's game~!

We talk of etiquette, but soem people may not have anyone to teach them the etiquette of golf.

although I'm not by any means an expert. These are the basics I try to live by.
* be courteous to all golfers and any property around the golf course. Some people who live on the fairway woudl liek some peace and quiet too.
* do not talk when someone is addressing the ball. This applies to full swings, putts etc.
* talk softly. No one outside of your group should be able to hear you. The groups infront, behind and to either side of you should not hear you yelling (except to yell FORE)
* in the fairway, the person furthest from the hole hits first
* on the green, the person furthest from the hole putts first.
* when on the green, do not walk across someone's putting line.(if you dont know what this means, watch the others in your group and watch how they walk around someone's line)
* when looking for you ball, limit the time (the rules actually allow 5 minutes. Its on the back of most scorecards) and be mindful of the group behind you that is waiting to hit their shot.
* if you walk into a sandtrap for any reason, rake the trap when youre done

if anyone wants all the golf rules, go to a golf shop and buy the cheap version of The Rules of Golf. Just a few bucks and the books generally have a section on etiquette.

okay, thats all I have. I hope this helps everyone.
