if you run 8.59 or faster then you are required to wear a helmet. a stock G comes no where near that.

the techs do check the trunk and if I'm not mistaken you are required to have that blowdown tube. (i don't have NOS so I wouldn't be 100% sure)

here's more rules on the track:

thats number one, number two, if u cant get drag radials, then at least get the right side of the track, its the stickiest side, so ull have a better shot out of the whole.

to answer the question above, no i will not be racing my car, nor will my car be there, im racing me and my friends project hatchback.

if i come say hi to any of u, dont be all, who is this mother ****er? lol
Good info, thanks. But now none of us are gonna want to race each other because we will all want right side

The one thing I don't like about Irwindale is you can’t stay out of the water box. I run street tires - so burn out is pointless... I try to roll thru slowly and briefly spin tires to get them dry. People watching probably think it's a weak attempt at a burnout LMAO!!!

We'll Rock-Paper-Scissors for it... as long as no one throws an actual rock, like the Super Bowl commercial - that was hilarious! (I hope someones knows what commercial I'm talking about or I'm looking like a putz)

I'll take the left side on the first try. and depending on my time, I'll either take it again or try the right side.

that should work right?

I'm not picky... I spin my tires like crazy there and LACR - so it really doesn’t matter to me. However, that was always with OEM Bridgestone’s... maybe my Khumos will hook up better?

Ok I'm still a bit confused about where we meet.

Are we going in as a group?

Or should we just go in the track, and meet somewhere inside?

I should be there anywhere around 5:15-5:30.

Its going to be fun Thursday and Saturday; It better be My brain has been fried from all that studying in university classes

Henry, so you'll be there by 5:15-5:30 tomorrow? I'll be there at that time and I can wait for you just before the tech inspection.

Or if Mike wants to meet up before the tech inspection by 5:15-5:30, that'll work as well.

when i had just intake, i got a 9.1...see if any of u can beat that hah!

as for street tires, ur going to run through that water, so to avoid even more spin, i would do a lil longer burnout than average to get that water off ur tires...lol

little tip for people with street tires, with drag radials its good to launch at 5500 for our rides and just drop the clutch, but i would reccommend u revving to about 3500, and instead of dropping the clutch, slowly easy up on it while keeping the gas thesame, until u feel u catch a lil traction, then floor it and u should be ok, ur 60 foot wont be all that great, but ull get a better 1/8, good luck guys,

and dont be afraid to say wattup, its me and my white friend in a silver 99 civic hatchback with gold slicks. turbocharged.

bye see u guys there!

9.1 with just intake is unbelieveable dude!!!

I went many many many times, and even with MREV2, 5/16th spacer, pop charger, and ztube, my best time was 9.2s...

I'm hoping I'll be doing better than that since I've added a few things.

I will probably be there earlier... by 4:00 or close to it. If anyone else is going to be there early, let me know I'll PM my cell... WaLLy has my # so if you meet with him later he can let me know when you all get there.

I guess the only issue getting there at different times would be if they group by numbers - in which our numbers would be so far off we wouldn’t be able to race each other... It isn’t likely that they will do this though (I don’t think) unless there are a ton of cars - right?

I'm AT - no dropping clutch for me... power brake, rev to 2500-3K and off I go... Sometimes I don't even rev - I'll just stomp on it from an idle.

I'll look for your civic... I will be in a DG sedan with smoked headlights & taillights
