Are you saying your Stillen didnt come with a heat shield? That's suppose to be a part of it, and it helps a ton.

Also, watch out for your AC line, even with a Stillen Z-Tube.

I haven't picked it up yet. I want to buy the wrapping stuff that can be applied on the ztube and the Stillen box.

It was on Dave's car at the BBQ.

I bet it looks pretty

So, im guessing its purpose is to keep heat away from penetrating?

Also, do you have a coolant control valve on your G (part of the spacer iso thermal)?

And I'm sure it'll keep the heat away. Since I'll be installing everything this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to get ahold of this stuff in the next few days.

and yup, I have the coolant control valve.

I believe the heat wrap for DaveO's intake tube came from Ivory_G (wing). He also made mine custom, years ago.

Before that, I was using thermotec's stuff:

For the air box, use this:

Hehe it doesnt look pretty, but if it works, then thats all that matters.

I'm thinking of swapping my Z-tube for a carbon fiber one, because I hear heat doesnt transfer very well on carbon fiber as it does on the plastic used on OEM.

But, for now, I have other priorities

Let's get the list bigger!

If you can find Lizard Skin it's a good alternative to the ugly silver stuff... That's what I have then painted over... only on the Z-Tube though, the guy that did mine isnt in the area anymore so I didn't have the Stillen heatshield/box done.

WaLLY, Friday night is iffy - depends on what I'm doing with gf, if we go out we can meet you somewhere... or Sat should be okay...

BTW - the car is going to TS tomorrow to find out why I've lost trq... they are gonna look at the cats and test compression... Tadashi will check A/F again - hopefully it will be dialed in again.

Ted! look fwd to seeing you at the tack (if I can make it)... it's been a long time

Wholy crap!!! I just saw all the new smileys... Geez!!!

What kind of cats?

FI 300 FTW!

If you don't mind, after you have the TS & dyno tune completed, send me some dyno's

Also, if you can, tell me how much the TS reflash and dyno tuning cost in total. I know the TS reflash costs 495, but not sure how much more the dyno tuning would add to that total.

By the way, what kind of dyno does TS have? Dynojet or Dynopack?

.

Crawford Cats.

And I will be updating some before and after Dyno charts.

TS reflash is 495 plus the 150 for dyno tuning.

And I'm not sure what kind of dyno TS is using. I can't waitttttt!!!! just a few more days!!

Not bad!

I was expecting the dyno tuning to be much more than 150. Considering that, whenever I have enough mods to TS my G, I think I will also go with the dyno tuning.

Have any before dyno's as of now?

.
