^^^ Good man Jeff!
Hey Nick,
Which day did you have in mind? 30th or 1st? A couple of the guys have to work Saturday, so Sunday (July 1) would be more ideal.

"Please apply Clint Cheng's group discount w. free timing for $160"
Normally it'd be $180 + $30(timing) = $210. A net saving of $50.
Take advantage of it.
damn! i already registered for $210!! do you think aaron will give me the discount and give me $50 back???Originally Posted by THX723
Also for those that are planning on tracking this one, do mention the following (during registration) for discounted rate:"Please apply Clint Cheng's group discount w. free timing for $160"

How dare you guys do a track day without me! BOO!!! LOL! I know,I know I don't have a track car right now. I hope to get one soon if I ever find one. I might be able to go even if I just have to watch from the sidelines.

Feel free to e-mail Aaron on that one. It's kind of out of my hands Nick. Don't jump the gun so quickly next time. Originally Posted by n1cK

yeah, i sent him an e-mail about it...just waiting for his reply. i figured that when you guys did horse thief, it may be a while 'till another track day. plus my e-mail was all jacked up (could receive but not send), that's why i put it out here. but i can't do it sunday...that's my "catch-up day" before work.Originally Posted by THX723

just got back, and wow, what a great day! i didn't crash, or die! it's a really fast track (turn nine is hair raising
) anyway, for those going on the first, it's gonna be a real hot day. i suggest bringing another shirt and a pair of shorts with flip-flops for the ride home...believe me, it'll beat going home in those nasty clothes you've been wearin' all day in the heat! canopies will be your best friend, but weigh them down...it'll get windy mid-day until the end.
for anyone that hasn't been to this track yet, be wary of the off camber turn on turn 3 and going into turn 6. a guy spun on turn 3 and almost took out 6-7 cars (i would've been number 2)! if you have to brake at the end of the omega (turn 5), do it in a straight line and turn-in hard left to set yourself up for turn 6. oh, and turn 9....well, just aim for the inner cone....it's your friend. i'm sure clint will point you in the right direction like my instructor did for me.
oh, lastly, if anyone is going to be coming from the I-15, the 138W is shut down, so you will have to go up to victorville and take the 395W to the 18 to the 138. there will be detour signs to guide you along the way.
have fun tomorrow and be safe. hope to see you guys out on the track soon!

Hey Nick!
So no go for "no lift" @ turn 9?

Sounded like you had a major blast out there. I wish I was out there. Looks like everyone going for the 1st pulled out. Maybe another time.
I'll be at California Speedway on the 28th (July).
Take Care!
