thats why its more fun to have several Gs and Zs there... so you can always race a fellow VQ

Lining up against those mid 5 sec muscle cars or a 335i just doesn’t have the same excitement.

See you guys the 30th! I can’t wait to see what my 3.7 FD and Quaife do for my 1/8 time! I know it makes stop light to stop light more fun

From a 5 second muscle car to a 335i... now thats a wide margin of performance difference!

I actually like going against 335i's. Those things pull. I'd much rather go against them than one of those monster domestic drag cars

Reaction time does not affect the E.T & trap speed what so ever.

I usually don't really care about r/t.

It's all about the 60ft & shifting.

It only starts as soon as the sensors detect your movement (launch). This is how it works on all street legal races such as Irwindale & Cal Speedway.

The only time R/T is important is in bracketing; that's a completely different event than the Race & Tune/ Street Legal nights. And bracketing is just about getting to the finish line first without really stressing on E.T

If you really want to beat the guy next to you in terms of car lenghts, then getting that R/T down is a good thing.

But if the only thing in your mind is getting a better ET, just take your time . Take your time as in nothing more than 1.0 second R/T, or else you just look weird

they both smoke ANY of us!!!! The reason I mentioned those cars is thats what I have run against other than Gs and Zs (which I usually beat )... Wally is a fun race - 30th will be fun!

I like being the first one to the finish line Reaction time is a major component of making that happen... And your time slip indicates who crossed first... ET is a given - you always want the lowest ET - It's so much more gratifying to have both

And yes - you look like a buffoon if you sit there waiting to leaving the tree... that's why I hate trq braking - it takes forever for the damn ECU to let you move... then it takes another forever while your wheels spin like crazy trying to hook up.... This is all AT open diff scenario... now that I have Quaife, 1/2 my launch battle is won - still need to dial in a method of high rev launch... I don’t pull the fuse or yaw - but I might... been waiting for KPTechnologies to release their new VDC defeat mod.

335i's definitely walk us...

But domestic drag cars definitely obliterate us ...

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the 3.7 & LSD helps you out. I'm gonna try to record you & Wally going at it. It's all going to come down to who has the better 60ft.

I was really hoping to have the MREV2 (or HFC) installed by the 30th, but I got an unexpected offer on an exhaust. I guess that works too

I hope its a bit cooler at the end of the month.

Same here

But what I was pointing out is, for a first timer, I would recommend not worrying about the R/T & focusing more on the launch since the R/T doesn't affect the E.T nor Trap speed.

Since I've had a ton of experience, Im pretty good at both. I usually keep my R/T below 0.3 which isn't bad at all. But I still have trouble hooking up right, although much of that is usually the tracks fault.

the 9.147 was my best of the night. I had 6 runs in total.. though I could of gotten another last run but I ended up going home by 9:15, I was hungry and felt like I had enough runs already...

Can't wait for the 30th

I did manage to pull of a .503 R/T remember .500 is perfect R/T.

I had a blast! though the heat from being there early was the only thing killing me...
