I used to run my Civic at Terminal Island before and it was awesome. If it opens up again, I will be there all of the time for sure. I hope you guys are right about this.

BTW, Street Legal drags are on the 27th so it is the week after the bbq.

Oh man... Mike don't get my hopes up! The idea of it becoming a reality would be huge news for us regulars.

You’re the loan man - man…

Seriously, I forgot about your industry... hmmm... I might have a loose ability to get compliance clearance.. Definitely enough ability to present a good proposal if we really had our **** together...

Wally - is the realm of land leasing through city/county something you are versed in?... I know nothing about property but do have some knowledge in some other aspects that might help here... and we have LOTS of business recommendation in the area (not just Church's and TS

I wonder if we really can parlay this into something?... WaLLy – if the land lease thing is feasible, PM me… not cost of course – just guidance… this is an almost exclusively industrial area that has VERY low income housing in surrounding area… I have read city pamphlets (distributed prior to me starting here) that tried to create a “beautification” campaign… What an oxymoron that is! Dressing a pig like a princess… still a pig! A Pig that would be prefect for us to race all over and make the princess look beautiful!!!!

Trust me, they are looking for really goofy ways to spend money at the ports and almost ALL of it is related to transportation (I know a little )! The refineries are goo goo ghaa ghaa to look good in the eyes of the “environmentalist” (I have a little here too )…

If done correctly, this could seriously be a win, win… with specific support and professional backing… Just need to have some “real-estate knowledge” behind us… land experience… city/county land… pull some heads together Wally… let me know.

BTW – anyone interested that has access to (legal) counsel in this area let’s pull together… I have some access depending how serious we get…

If talks are going in the direction of approval – it’s fair game as to who does this. If we start early enough – who knows?… Anyone remember the LA Football debauchery?

I don’t know about you, but I would love to be a part of something we talk about, spend money on, and time on…………… Cha-Ching!

PM, or new post if we are serious...

where is this terminal island place? I'm down to race anywhere if it's near church's then it's almost the same distance to CS for me.

Do you have any links of this track maybe opening up and how long is it 1/8 or 1/4?

San Pedro/Wilmington area... it was a very popular "non-legit" 1/4 mile drag strip for many years (back in the day)... Nothing formal has been announced - there is just a buzz in the area that it might open as a legit/organized drag strip...

Alright, I need at least one more person to go to this event. So once someone tells me for sure that they'll be going, I'll paypal my moola to CS.

Hmmm . . . I'm thinking that November might be better. I have to see how things work out but my G might not be ready to go until Nov.

Well, I'm good for pretty much any of those dates. November 9th is looking alot better though.

But yea, as long as someone who's going to be racing goes, than I'm in it! Cuz man, I'm gonna be one bored **** if I go solo

I'm definitely going Wally and I will be racing too. It's just that I need more time to get everything done so November sounds better.
