the facility is California Speedway... the 1/4 mile track is sponsored by Auto Club... so yes, that part is Auto Club Dragway... it's a big place with more that 1 track...

 

This is going to be soooooooo fun...... I just hate waiting...

Fortunately, we have a meet this Thursday so the wait won't be as bad....

On February 21, 2008, the Automobile Club of Southern California became the title sponsor of the raceway, renaming the official name Auto Club Speedway of Southern California. The naming rights deal will last for ten years and is worth an estimated $50 to $75 million.

 

Interesting... it will take another 2-3 track days before we get use to calling it ACS (I still call Honda Center "The Pond")...... the Drag strip has been Auto Club for quite a while, so I guess this fall in line...
