It's a long story lol

My friend Wyn (who went to Japan for school) has hook ups in Japan from motorsport shops. I asked him to find me IMPUL headers and he did. The only problem was that they were meant for a G37. So the shop fabricated them to fit on the 2nd gen sedan. There was only one pipe that was in the way of the steering column, so they cut it, put it in an angle and welded back on.
I got it about 2+ months later and they looked fine to me. They didnt even look like they were fabricated.
So i took it to a local shop by my house and had them installed for 500 bux.
I felt the car lost power after awhile. So i thought I might need a tune at TS to get my power back and more.
We did the tune and my car went up to 310whp. Tadashi said that my numbers are too low and that i should've gotten up to at least 315whp or more.
So after i realized something isn;t right, i had them taken off (which i paid fore as well ). Once they took them off, i noticed this nasty black line going across one of the welds. It was a crack more than an inch long. It was also the pipe they had fabricated. So i sent them to a shop to be rewelded and then shipped them to Jet-Hot to get them painted so they wont get so hot. They also said it will increase power.

I got them back not too long ago, but im not going to put them on yet.
I will put them on once i get my BERK hfc and FI exhaust. Put it on all at the same time you know.

Damnnnnnnnn!!! Those headers are SEXXXXY. So was the crack because of the welding they did? Or was it because the quality of the headers? Cause I know Impul is expensive shiiiet. I want to get headers for my g37 right now but I don't know where to find any for any decent pricing, Stillen is ghetto in my opinion and everything else is 1500 + status Just gotta wait for things to release I guess since the 370z is here now.

 

t was because of the welding they did. It wasn't thick enough and it didnt stick well I guess. The welds now are thicker bit its not chrome anymore. It's like silver now cuz of the paint. Lets hope i get more gains this time.

I'm hoping to be at 330whp after my headers, hfc, and exhaust are installed.
Also im getting the UR pulley.
Once i get all those installed, go back to tecnosquare and get another dyno tune. If I go over 330whp, I will be sooo happy.
And also i will be getting the new stillen 3G, my injens aren't doing jack **** lol

 

i will! im buying some spacers next week and hopefully dustin takes off his 20mm so i can get it from him. and i need my car back coz its at the shop right now

I spent 1,500 to install them, uninstall them, get the rewelded, and painted.
I'm not including shipping either lol
All together i spent about 3,500 on these.
waist of fvcking money.

If i get pissed off i'll sell these so i can put my rims on. All i need are tires, lug nuts, and center caps. Thats like $1000+ right there lol
And do all the other **** i want.
Get my headlights and grille painted, hfc, exhaust, lip, drop, camber, illuminated kick plates, and cf stuff for the motor...and a whole lot more stuff i want hahaha
It's a huge list lol

I could've done all that if i didnt buy these headers.
I guess it'll be worth it at the end when im wooping e92 M3s lmao
