i like the rule of members must be over 21, but since stillendoutg35 is 16 I think we could give him a waiver. If for some reason he doesnt show for this saturday he will be X'd out.
Its not fair to allow another member the privledge since he's known by others.
StillenD are you 16 for reals?

But... at the end of the day I believe we can't be nice just for the sake of preventing heartache.
To prevent further misunderstandings, it would be best if he didn't show up to the first meet and get denied right after. I certainly don't want to tell him no after getting cool with him. We should establish this now before anyone else gets hurt. Age is definitely important to me. It's fine that he follows the thread and is cool with us, but we will need to establish some standards soon.
Of course, age is not the end-all solution for maturity, but it is a good starting point...and nothing against stillendout personally, I'm sure he's a great kid and not "retarded," but I honestly think 16 and anyone in high school is really pushing it for me, personally. I hope he understands too. He has plenty of opportunities to start a team with buddies or enjoy life like most kids do his age.
I'll say it straight up... I have no desire to start a team and have high school students in it.
Does everyone at least see some of the rationality here or agree/disagree?

The G cost 40k new but now an 03 goes for 14-17k any kid with a part time job could pay 300 bucks a month.

Sorry guys, Stillendoutg35 is actually 21 or 22. I posted that because when I first started talking to him, he got me by telling me he just turned 16. Then I returned the favor when he came over, by leading him into my closet when he asked me if he could use the restroom. I will repost the age/name thing, my bad.

i understand everyones point of view on this that you cant judge maturity based on age because i know i still act stupid all the time i drive my car like its a damn race car and i do dohnuts and burnouts but i know when its not exceptable and if i get in trouble im an adult and can deal with it justly and i can afford to fix my own car if i mess it up so i dont really have a valuable opinion i just seen a couple kids around where i live that drive g coupes and i have no respect for them

I agree about 16 and 17 year olds (yes some are mature but even for liability reasons, they should not be allowed) but what about 18 and over? They are then legally considered adults and should be in college/working full time by that age, and we could always consider case by case if they are 18-21? Just my opinion.
