gates open at 6:00, racing starts at 7:00 - we usually try to get there as early as 5:00 (maybe 5:30) because they only let the first 400 race (and it fills up fast)...
For those that get there early, we will meet at the front gate of the parking lot (not the gate off the street) - at 5:00... if the line is not long we might wait a bit but not later than 5:30... if the lines are long at 5:00 we wont be waiting.
A few of us will caravan from Garden Grove - if you want to join us be at Bolsa Grande High School (on Westminster Ave between Magnolia and Brookhurst) by at least 4:30
It costs $20 to race (you will get at least 4-5 runs... if you stay after 3:30 the lines thin out and you can get as many as 8-10 or more)...
Be sure you bring a chair, sunscreen, a hat (if you are follicley challenged like me), and something to eat (unless you dont mind really crappy hot dogs and hamburgers that the concessions sell).
If someone has a vid cam that would be great!
Those that are racing - if you think you will run faster than 14.0 bring a helmet (if you are NA, you probably wont need to worry), if you dont have a helmet you can borrow mine as long as you have your own head-sock (you can buy head socks cheap at any motorcycle shop and many performance auto stores)... lighten your car the best you can by removing everything possible - try to arrive on 1/8-1/4 tank of gas (there is a gas station one block away so you can fuel up before heading home). Don't drop pressure in your tires until after your first run, if you aren't spinning, you dont need to lower pressure... lower in small increments (low psi might help traction, but it also raises rolling resistance).
Even if you dont plan to race - come on out; it's a cool place and hangin' with fellow Gs is a good time - see you there

Goodluck fellas!
My car is still not running 100%. I hate making excuses, but its not worth it unless you know your car is running the way it should be.
When it runs fine, I KNOW I will hit 13's in this notoriously slow track
(when I get it running back 100% and on ideal weather).

Nice! How is the weather there in Fontana? It's about 65F here in Hollywood.

like Mark said after first 12 cars BOOM! Blown Motor... oil all over track... I was next in staging line
didn't even get first run in until like 10:00 or so ****.
By 3:00 we only had 3 runs... Alan only had one run (left early)...
I was expecting around 14.1 (after confirming car weighs 100 lbs more than last track day) - firstrun was 14.2xx 2nd run was 14.3xx

Finally third run of the day (at it's hottest - but still only 70 degrees) I finally ran 14.131
So still no 13.xxx (I'm not sure I'll never get to my best of 14.002 when the car was 100 lbs lighter (that was probably the best chance at breaking 14 I'll have at this track)...
Mark did real well for first time out - each consecutive run he got progressively faster - which is real good)...
My buddy Tim didnt bring his Vette - he brought his wife's Exquinox (or sumthin')... ran 15.xx
IP350GT left before first run... sux to get up so early and not get to run...
A GTR ran 12.04~ that was nice!
I wish we could have ran when it was 45 degrees outside (like it was when we got there at 5:00am)... I don't think I'll go to this track much anymore (unless a bunch of homies go)... I plan to get to Famosa (Bakersfield) when the weather is good... that is the closest track that any VQDE (or even HR) will have a chance at 13.xx
It was a good time - long day, but nice to hang with friends

Alan - don't get us all up so early next time
