Do you want to trade tires?

 

^ you have to flip them every 10k miles or so to get good life out of them.

 

The rears made it with even wear across the tire to 8K, the fronts need a better 3-point cam/cast arm. I missed the 10K mark a-little-bit.

Good question about the next meet. Although I have a new project. Bought a 2001 Jetta 1.8T for a commuter car to work and back. I think I'll do a couple things here and there.

Thanks so much for the nice comment "start up a f'n tire thread", so very kind of you. Sorry, I did want to share bumps in the road so that others may not get a bit hosed now and then when we have to encounter our slim choices for parts and pieces to upgrade. And, yes a CH meet would be grand as they usually are, the weather just took a turn for the GOOD, so maybe we can all have a dry and warm night out soon.
