Dunlop Direzza DZ101

Anyone here have any luck with these tires? Just want to know how they perform. It costs a grip for oem! My G is a daily driver and sometimes I like to do "spirited" driving on the beltway...TIA for the input!

hey ryan...

the dunlop direzza dz101's are really good tires! for their low price, i would definitely say they are very worth the money! most of the rear wheel drive cars in 16niss are on dunlop direzzas...

good luck!

Thanks guys for the input...I cant wait to put the new tires on now...I was worried since they are cheap it may not be worth it...but on the other hand Dunlop's are known as good tires as well...Thanks again!

Wayne - 16niss has some good looking cars! I think at one point in time one of the members gets there work done at Modena right? I hear they're a good body shop

Nahh you will be fine. If you don't expect the best from a tire in that price range you will be happy. I drove a Z last week that had them and was happy with their performance.

Wayne - I'm running on the oem 18's...Rims right now are ridiculously expensive for me...heheh

Thanks for the recommendation...I'll have to stop by there for some minor paint work...It's great they're just down the street

Hey Andy! Long time no see mate! I haven't seen you since that Brazos fun run a couple years ago with Cato and everyone else. How's the G?

I have these tires now and they are great! I don't do much "spirited" driving anymore just so the rear tires won't wear as quickly...heheheh..

I was thinking of getting the Direzza's too. I'm getting tired of buying Michelins. So let us know what you think when you get them. I'm having second thoughts. I have the Dunlop Sport Maxx on my GS300, they are higher end Dunlops and they suck. Tire noise beyond belief. Poor comfort too. They also feel like they are out of round when they bear a heavy load on a warm day. I'm doubtful any Dunlop is worth a hoot.

A few months ago I decided to go high end tire instead of the cheaper ones. I bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Of all the tires I have had on my G in 93,000 miles, these are the best. The cheap ones don't last and sound terrible on the road. Good luck with the Dunlops!

Reggie -

So far so good with the tires...road noise isn't as bad (but I think the noise issue is personal preference) As far as performance, I've done some spirited driving on the beltway and went back out through the Brazos run (do you remember that Cato?) and they seemed fine.
