sucks that I'll be out of town that weekend, but the DFW club is going to setup an event like this in the spring sometime.

Any idea what the "controlled conditions" are going to be? I've heard of similar events in the past that limited the speed to something hardly worth going for.

 

Actually, yes I do. There will be a pace car on the track so you and about 14 other cars will be on the track together. Speed will probably be limited to about 80 mph because children and other passengers will be allowed in the cars and helmets aren't required (except motorcycles).

I wasn't aware of these conditions when I originally posted.

Well it's for a good cause and might be a good photo opportunity. Maybe it's worth a short drive
