Gulf coast G n Z meet? Need some help to make it happen!
I work at a Hotel and Here is what I have been thinking to get a pretty good meet going: These are my thoughts
THE HOTEL IS RIGHT ACROSS THE BEACH and there is plenty of parking for the meet to happen.

Setting up a Date - (weekend) - Book a room at the hotel i work at (group rate of course ) Thinking it could be a whole weekend event. OR just Stay the saturday night check out sunday and read the rest.
Day 1:
1. Check in 3pm / prior get settled in room etc.
2. Meet up in the conference room at hotel 5pm ( chips, sodas, etc, maybe some stickers for the meet depending on the name of the meet. 1st annual etc) Hand out itineraries for the rest of the day and tomo.
3. Cruise / Dinner 5:30 / 6pm start - Hooters or whoever I can get a deal with for parking etc. (take pics and eat this should take a good 2 hrs minimum im guessing)
4. After we are done eating Go to the GUlfport Drag strip, Who ever wants to get a few runs in and watch we can go for a few hrs. More specific if we actually do this.
5. Cruise back to hotel. Depending on the day, there are usually mini meets going on and we can cruise around / take some pics of all the cars. And then call it a night.
DAY 2 -
1. Check out 11am
2. Meeting at 1130 or 12. to make sure everyone can be there lol. Discuss the road to take a "spirited drive" pics and cruise
3. Lunch at the Shed bbq? and a few more pics after the drive
Whats your take on this locals
People from Lousiana - Mississippi - Alabama Mainly the gulf coast!
I wouldnt mind trying to get a few raffle prizes and such also, but Im not too sure how thats gonna go about.
A few questions -
1. Would yall make the drive to attend this event?
2. Everyone attending would you care / mind to chip in $5 or 10$ a person to cover sodas for the meet, and or a few prizes IF there are enough people attending - Prizes could range from shift ***** etc
3. Would you stay the night?
4. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
If there is anything to add or comments to be made, let me know whats your take.
Let me know what you think?

Setting up a multi-day huge meet like this is an extremely daunting task to undertake by yourself. Usually something like this involves a large well organized, well established group. Otherwise it'll be you and 2 other dudes.
If you are able to get something together that seems like it's going to work and be supported, our team from Houston may be interested in attending depending on timing. But like I said, it's a long shot for you to do this and get anybody to commit to coming. I'm not trying to be negative, but I've seen individuals try to organize large regional gatherings and almost always with **** poor results.
Since you asked for suggestions, here's mine.
-Sit down and take plenty of time and think it out completely. Weigh pros and cons and determine which are good ideas and which are crap. Don't get too married to any one idea because everyone else may hate it.
-Keep your attendees needs and wants in mind. If it doesn't appeal to people nobody will come. Make it worth people giving up an entire weekend, possibly missing work, and spending hundreds of their dollars on food, gas, rooming etc. What would it take to get you to do this?
-Be prepared to spend a LOT of your own money if you want to make it work. In the end I can guarantee you it will cost you some money personally one way or another.
-Make sure you will be able to deliver everything you present to folks.
-Don't even try to pull this off until you have picked the brains of people who have successfully done it before. They will know what works and doesn't work. You need to know everything they know.
That's just a few things I can think of right of the bat. Trust me, it's harder than it looks to pull something like this off successfully. But if you do, it'll be great.
Best of luck!

If you can pull it off successfully I'd be willing to make that donation as a prize whether me and Strictly G's can attend or not.
