Had Huper tint and clear bra installed @ Altamere in Dallas
I hope to have pictures next week but it looks great. I was a bit disappointed, though, in that I thought the clear bra panels would go all the way to the edges of the given panel or surface of the car. Instead, there's about a 1/5" gap all around, such that if I should get a rock right on the margin between the fender and the hood, for example, it'll leave a nick. Plus I thought the visibility of the lines where the bra ends would be less noticeable (based on pictures I've seen here, but then again, pictures aren't generally as revealing of details as the naked eye). From about 5 feet away you'd likely barely notice them though, if at all.
Sally, who is either the owner or the GM of the location (or both), is a sweetheart and very good to deal with. Even though they don't open till 8:30, she told me to show up at 8 when she and her crew did and she had one of her guys run me to my office in downtown (about 5 minutes away). Further, she indicated that I should bring it back in if the tint develops "fingers" (an area of bubbling that goes beyond just a small circular spot that will fix itself as it cures; it looks just like someone slid about an inch or more of their finger under the film) and they'd take care of it. Well, my wife had to unexpectedly take my brand-new G to Tulsa last night as soon as I got it back from Altamere (bad water pump in her car) AND as she drove off I noticed it was developing at least one "finger" on the driver's window. Knowing I couldn't get it back to her to fix till Monday, I called Sally and asked if that delay would cause a problem getting it fixed. She assured me it shouldn't, that they could fix that despite the film curing several days by that time, but she further stated that if they couldn't fix it, they'd be happy to replace the film on that window. Standing behind one's workmanship isn't necessarily earth-shattering, I know, but she could easily hide behind the fact that I waited too long to bring it in to fix (or somesuch) and she didn't.
I'd recommend her and her shop to anyone. Their store is only about 2 miles or so down Lemmon Ave. from Sewell and they get alot of business from there (heck, for all I know Sewell may just take all the tint and/or bra orders they get from their customers down to Altamere and pocket the upcharge). As such they claim/appear to have a great deal of experience working on G's.
Overall, got the tint and clear bra (entire front panel/bumper/airdam + lower hood+ fenders + rearview mirrors) for $875 + tax.
FYI.
