I'm pretty free this summer as its the summer after I graduate from Emory University and I'm looking to work in a car-tuning shop in Houston... I just want to get some hands-on experience with Engine tuning. Anyone know of any popular tuning shops in the Houston area?

 

You want to learn how to tune?...Or you want to have your car tuned? Umm....well....the only place i can suggest is CarBoy on bissonett near beltway 8. I'm sure there has to be others...they're prolly just new so i'm don't know their names. I myself have been out of the import scene for a bit. I suggest Carboy b/c they've been around a while...Hope this helps a little...let me know if you have any other questions.

 

^^^^like he said. There are many tuning shops in houston. Silviawerks in Katy does Silvias and 240's. SGP and Lightspeed or the 2 best in houston for 350Z/G35 drivers. There are a lot of little shops around houston. your best bet is to log onto www.Houston-Imports.com/forums/ and look under the sponsors section i think.

I've actually been to carboy a couple times... they seem pretty chill... but I'll definately check out SGP and Lightspeed soon...

If anyone else in the Houston area knows of any other tuner shops, please contribute to the list!!!

oh, and Infinite1, I was looking to do engine work and tuning... not to have my car tuned, but just to learn about the basics about it...

 

Yeah azn they're pretty chill...I'm sure they could point you in the right direction on learing how to tune.

What are names and phone #s how know how to tune Gs here in West Houston? I am going to see SGP on Saturday, May 14th.
