Auto Insurance - Who do you use?

What's everyone using and prices. Let's help each other out.

I'm currently using SafeCo and pay about $450/6 (25/50/25).

Anyone using Progressive? Thinking about switching to them, but don't know about their service.

I use USAA: I really like them. A bit less than $600 every 6 months, but I carry pretty high limits.

I have USAA too..and also pay a little under $600 per 6months...USAA is the best IMO....I've had progressive (which they aren't) and st.farm before too.....from a collision claims perspective (which is what I do for a living), the ones that will actually pay a shop right to fix your car right are USAA, St.Farm, Travelers, Allstate, and AAA.....Safeco, Farmers, Progressive, Geico are IMO the worst ones....they try to cut corners bigtime and don't like to pay a shop for sh*t....they push real hard on aftermarket and used parts as replacement pieces.....among other things....I would pay a little extra for St.farm or Allstate if I were you...they really will be there when you need them....and won't try to cheat you or your car....

Thumbs up

I've used State Farm for almost 20 years. I've never had a problem with them. Also, when I had a "little" car wreck, they took care of everything. I pay $660/6mo. I have some of the best coverage and I do not mind paying that amount on my vehicle. I have a $200.00/$250.00 deducs PLUS high injury coverages.

Lets put it this way. I came out of Ben Taub, TIRR and two other rehab places pretty cheap. I hope I never have to leave State Farm If you wish to see what I'm talking about, look at: http://www.picturetrail.com/srh ONLY if you wish.

Holy cow people! In South FL the few G owners I've talked to about this pay $1200-1400 for 6 mo, myself included. I can only imagine what Cali and NJ/NY are like.

Good advise on which company to choose.. I'll look into that.

Cato,

Isn't Houston, TX the worst driving area in the US? If I saw the world news correctly a few months ago, Houston is worse than NYC, Boston and Indianapolis. IN.
