As most of you have seen there has been a lot of confusion regarding the next meet. Due to various opinions and remarks made by several August 13th's cruise will NOT happen. Now with saying that there is a cruise out to Brenham/Pineywood that is going to happen with other G owners....If anyone is interested please vote on Cato's post.

As far as the Galveston cruise is concerned i'm voting to move it with the rest of the Z's on Aug 21st. After all, The G is a Z and the Z is a G, same engine and same chassis. In all the confusion some Z friends of mine who don't post up on the site were offended by some of the remarks leading them to conclude as to why it's hard for G owners to get together whereas the Z's at the drop of a dime (I know this from personal experience before i got my G) they will meet. Whether young or old we have one main interest: THE CAR! Without a doubt I enjoyed the last rally we had and would continue to attend more but I feel there should be change as well to accomodate the other "drivers" who aren't so much into the rally stuff and more into hearing about what we did to the car. Ex: Shooter and I met and it was just the two of us! I thoroughly enjoyed it b/c i learned new things and he answered some of my mod questions...

Now some of you are saying what about the "official" meet...That was my fault for using the wrong choice of words....I know most of us would like to have a primarily G club and that's fine I would still like to have one just as long as we don't discriminate other cars as not being in our "league". From comments i've received that's the message that came across which alienated other people Z and G drivers alike.

If people still want to meet on the 13th as a local meet and greet i'm still down for that. PM me and let me know and we'll decide on a place to meet for a couple of hours or maybe go somewhere and have a late lunch or a beer or something.

I know starting something up is always difficult especially since I have no help *ahem* *cough* VISION....*cough* *cough*....but we'll get something togther....

i agree, i love the 350z as well, and i consider em family. We shouldn't isolate ourself too much afterall if you think about it the 350z and the g35 are very closely related. I'm just sorry everything had to turn out this way. But I give infinite1 props for making an attempt for all of us to meet.

No offense to anyone on the forum either. I'm here to make new friends, share a common interest, no matter if its at a cruise or a meet. But infinite1 has a point, we should all take into account not everyone wants to do the same thing, but as a group we should respect one another. If some of you like to go on long rallies with lots of twisties, no problem, if for some reason some of the others have a reason not to. Just be understanding. I would love to do both a cruise and I'm always down for a meet. We all gave our inputs, now its time to set a time and date and do it. Vision and Infinite1's are the leaders and are the ones putting this all together. So its mainly up to them to call the shots.

 

Cool...I like the idea of going to galveston with all the Z's on the 21st. That's what I'm doing. done.
