Hey fellow owners, I was thinking on September 5th since it is labor day and alot of us are going to be off of work i was thinking maybe the night before we can all meet up, possibly have a cruise as well somewhere? Meet up sometime like around 9:45 or 10:00 pm on September 4th since alot of us will not have work on that monday and will be able to sleep in a little bit. The starbucks on 529 and hwy 6 wasn't a bad spot to meet last time but i am up for ideas just post in here if you would like to get together on that night and if you have a suggestion for it.

 

I want to caution you guys on driving at night. IMHO, it is much more dangerous than driving during the day. First of all, there is limited visibility. Secondly, early evening and very early morning are prime times for wild animals to feed and move around before laying down for rest. Even at posted speed limits, shadows can play games with you. In pitch black dark deer and racoons can come out of nowhere - the damage to your car will not be pretty. If you are driving on unfamiliar roads and your speed is high, you can easily miss a turn and end up in a ditch. Unless you are going to drive at the speed limit - what's fun about that? - I wouldn't recommend it. Not to rain on your parade, but I wanted to share with you my two cents. I live deep in the hill country and regularly drive in pitch black darkness. Those of you who know me know I am not shy about driving fast, but at night around where I live, I drive 5 mph BELOW the speed limit. It's not worth the risk.

 

racer X driving below the speed limit??!! that is something to listen to then. I agree with turk though. I've considered driving some of the roads around here at night, out of boredom. but decided against it considering I've already had a run in with a dog and now a jack rabbit...which lived no matter what turk says.

 

hey thanks for your concern. i do know what you are saying, going like 100 down an unfamiliar dark road could lead to death! i do know that but i was thinking of more like cruising follow the leader and not get out of hand just because the fact thats it is night time, just wanting something to do. there are some dangerous dark roads i have been on that are very scary and dark but ohters that aren't bad and i was thinking of taking a back road which isn't bad, still lit, and easy to get back to a main road!

i hope you all come out if yall have no plans and help me make this possible because yall are the meet. not me alone but you guys, my partners. you all are the meet! so i hope everyone comes out and joins us! i want it to be g35's, 350 z's, 300 zx's, and some datsun's as well lol. so have our granddaddy's, our dad's, our cousins, and then us our own brothers so come on out, take some bad *** pics, then maybe even have a small cruise afterwards and take some good video so lets go and have a kick *** sunday night. its not every monday we have a holiday!!!!!!...............
