Hey guys I coming into houston this week. I need some help choosing a hotel thats nice and in a good area. I've heard you need to stay out of the Beltway 8 or something simular. Any Suggestions???

Where is your class being held? You don't want to stay too far away from your class. Houston is a pretty big place!

hey knives. best western off of hwy 6 and jackrabbit road is nice, there is a la quinta off of 290 and 1960, there is a hampton inn or something right next to the la quinta. and then lets see. 290 and the beltway..... the area you are having your class at is a good area so as long as you stay around the area of your class will be nice. stay away from greenspoint area and you should be ok. check those hotels out and if you do not like them im sure more people have suggestions i just can't think of anymore man!
I made reservations at the Holiday Inn on HWY 249 North on the outside of 1960. Is this a good area to be in?
There is a AMC24 theatre near there. I live on 1960 near 249 so I've been down that way. There is the WillowBrook mall and a Fiesta grocery store. The Hotel should be fine... I've never seen a neighborhood in there but I think there is one... and ummm, I can say the group that gathers at the movie theatre is less then appealing. Like NorthSide said, Hwy 6 [which is 1960- it changes names at hwy 290 intersection] is a good area. Seems like the farther West down 1960 [or Hwy 6] you go the better it gets! But in the middle around 249 could probably get rough in a hurry. Don't mean to scare you, I'm sure you and your car would be just fine there - theres alot worse around [Greenspoint, AKA "Guns"point].
