FEBRUARY brain storming thread
FEBRUARY brain storming thread
well Houston G told me i should start a new thread so here i go.
i really enjoyed the last meet but i think everyone wants to add a cruise which is a wonderful idea!
i have heard that memorial is a nice road to cruise on because its nice and long and will take ya all the way down town.
also 1 time i know the g's and z's started off at i-10 and silber and did a cruise but did not like the route too much because the roads sucked.
another idea i was thinking about was we could start off on 1960 and 249 sarbucks, head out from there and take some back roads that i know of in a big circle which would spit us out at 290 out by fairfield and we can take 290 back up to 1960. kinda like a big circle, it would be like a 20 minute cruise?
also another important question is how long do yall want the cruise to last?
i think it would be fun to start somewhere and then cruise out somewhere by the galleria starbucks, ya know the one thats 24 hours? and that way we could cruise up westhimer or richmond, thats always an active road! i do not know what yall wanna do, day/night time cruise but lets all brainstorm and see whats up after the import face off is.
lets get brainstorming!

How about a route on roads where there aren't any (or alot of) lights and/or stop signs? That way we can all stick together and not get split up by everyone stopping and starting. I'm sure wherever we end up, it will be inevitable that there are lights and stop signs, but I think the longer we can stay together, the better. Just my $0.02...

I guess it kinda depends on which side of town people want to meet on now? Are there more on the northside or southside of town? Would the Nside people be willing to meet up with the Sside people this time or do we want to get the Sside people to come up here? Whichever side could meet up before hand and cruise to meet the other half or something. I think we should do something where we can show off to others [because a group of Z/G's looks really impressive cruising down the road, ie: Galveston cruise] but also go somewhere where we can open them up alittle. Thats the only reason I mentioned the Red Robin meet that was down on Richmond that one time because we took back roads 1st and then ended back up on Westheimer and went all the way down to the Starbucks.
here is a crazy thought?
well everyone wants to meet up and cruz right? well this is going to take a lil more effort, but could end up being a lot of fun. why not make a 350z & G35 meet/cruise to Austin. to make things easy we can make it out to mean streets car show in austin, but only thing is that its in march and no feb. Like make it a huge meet were we can meet the Z&G's in Austin using that car show as our offical meet! we can call it our own lil z & g cannon ball run!!LOL it is something that has never been done before and we could finally meet those other texans that post on the texas region! this can allow us to cruise all we want and take great photos! something think about fellas.
BTW: there is an upcoming meet going down soon besides this one. i will keep u posted on it

best driving meet i have been too so far is the twisty turny drive out south towards brazos..........lots of fun to push the g on the twisties!
very few stops and as long as people can read a map (lost boys! lol) we stayed together.......we ended up on westhiemer so for those that wanted to show off the cars in a group........i also liked the galv cruise and others as well for diff. reasons.........

nexstage: austin cannon ball run is a cool idea nexstage but that would be something we would have to take about 2 days off for. i think it sounds pretty cool but like you said would take lots of work.
homie: red robin sounds cool to do, it just sounded like some people hated the roads but i think it sounds bad ***! maybe a red robin meet for february and we can plan something more elaborate for march or whatever yall think sounds cool!
also i did not get to participate in the brazos run but the pics looked cool. i think we could possibly do it again but please skip the gravel part! no gravel!!!
the "country" drives seem to be a big hit so possibly back roads in the "country atmosphere"

If you guys wish to head over to San Antonio, I have family in Boerne. There are plenty of hills in that town.

Talk about wide open throttle fun! The route out towards Brazos Bend had around 4 stop signs. Those roads are so fun I just had to plan the trip back on the same roads. County Road 42 was alot of fun as well.
