dealerships
Just bought a twilight blue with willow sedan- am loving it. First experience at Southwest Houston Infiniti was miserable- salesman was arrogant and condescending. So I walked... Went to North Houston and had a great experience all the way around- even though it was nearly 40 miles from my home.

Re: dealerships
I do not blame you one bit. South West and West Houston have me upset. Mine is from West Houston, but they are not able to fix interior problems that mine has. I have taken it there over 5 times and the still can't fix the simple problem.
Other than that, I love the G35 way too much.

Re: dealerships
Here is the odd thing about me. My family "use to own" a Ford Dealership for over 30 years. My grandparents sold it. My father still runs the Dealership. The new owner also has a Lincoln/Mercury & Jeep location. The owner is also trying to get Lexus & Infiniti, but those companies will not alow them in the Rio Grande Valley.
I guess the dealership where I got my sedan from is really aware what they are getting into. The G35 is the first vehicle I have that is not a Ford Owned vehicle. I passed Jag, Volvo, Lincoln just to get the Infiniti. Heck, at least Ford can fix the car the first time I take it in!!

Re: dealerships
Our Ford Dealership was "Hollon Ford" in Mercedes, TX. It is now "Mid-Valley Ford". My dad has it as one of the fastest growing dealerships in the Valley. The Lincoln, Mercury & Jeep locations are in McAllen. My dad is also on the automobile board in the Valley.

My experience at Southwest Houston Infiniti was so bad I am still considering a letter to the sales manager and district/regional manager. Of course I would also send a letter of kudos for those at North Houston Infiniti. The audacity of a salesman to belittle and talk down to a potential buyer is astonishing for a company such as Infiniti; I would expect as much from other "brands".

Re: dealerships
Corneaman,
You are very correct about the issue w/ Southwest Infiniti. Every dealership I have dealt with before the Infiniti fix each problem on the 1st try. I am about to drive my car to the Valley, for the weekend tomorrow. My father will laugh if I tell him the problem continues and gets worse. On my next oil change, I will print some listings found on this website about my noises I continue to hear. All I want the dealership to do is take things apart, let me look at the insides before they put it back together. I can point them where I hear the vibrations.
That is something they "should" be able to do, but I bet you that they will put the car back together w/o me being able to see it. They have done that once before.
I know Nissan/Infiniti Corp would be up-set hearing how you and I have been treated. So far, all of the Fords I have owned are better quality than my G35 Sedan. Ugh....

Re: dealerships
I had a pleasant buying experience at SouthWest Infiniti. My first few
service experiences were also good. Then my service advisor
Sam Alhalaby, moved on to another dealership in Clear Lake City.
At that point things went to hell.
My new service advisor fed me a bunch of lies: G35 doesn't have a
rev limiter, G35 ECU will burn out with the battery disconnect .....
bla, bla,,bla. Then the parts counter guy just became too much for
me to deal with, smartalecky smart ***! I walked. Went to
West Houston Infiniti and had a good service experience. I called
them up and said I was coming in for the brake light switch TSB.
They said, "bring it in". Had it fixed within 30 minutes.

Re: dealerships
Thanks for the information. When I need to take my car in for service I will consider West Houston as well as North Houston Infiniti. It sounds as though the new Southwest infinitiservice guy is the same person I dealt with as a salesman. Lie after lie...... Of course when called on the carpet the arrogance rose to a new level.

SRHTX,
Is your beef door rattles and buzzes? If so, you can fix them yourself
and save yourself alot of agony and pain and bypass the dealership.
A six pack of brew is all I ask to help you. I removed all 4 door
panels and performed the fix. I have no annoying noises any more.

Re: dealerships
Well,
If you wish to see and hear my car, let me know. I just took it over to West Houston Inf and they took everything out and showed it to me. I also let them drive my car around w/ me in the back. After we did that, there really is nothing the dealership can do to fix that rattel. It is an Infiniti design problem.
Now, you are more than welcome to look and hear inside the sedan. It would be nice to see what you and other G35 sedan drivers think about it.

Re: dealerships
Never a problem with West Houston, service has been good (also top rated CSI in Texas!). If your'e getting rattles from door and back area, do it yourself. Plenty of listings on FA, JJS posted one on this. North Houston was okay but never responded to car I wanted, West did.
