official TMS dyno day scrapbook post (unofficially
Re: official TMS dyno day scrapbook post (unofficially
Tomorrow night I will post the 4 page write up with photos of a select few dyno runs. Jeff (PlatG) is going to host the photos on his web browser and he is also going to host ALL OF THE DYNO RUNS. This will allow anyone to download the dynojet run viewer off of dyno jet's website for FREE and do any dyno comparison that they like. That's right... for those of you who have dynoed before and have your run saved to a disk, you will be able to compare your runs that you previously made to the runs that we made on May 22nd... I'll start a new thread on the technical forum and make sure to come back to the SE Forum to link to it. I'm hoping that everyone will add their photos and comments to that link as to have "One comprehensive place for performance modification comparisons".
Thanks for waiting and I hope it turns out well.

great news NEFF...
i am hoping to see an overall with ALL the G players on the same sheet....
if the Y axis has a big spread, we'll be able to see all of the runs fairly easily, imo...
it'd be neat to see if there are characteristics present on all the coupes

Re: official TMS dyno day scrapbook post (unofficially
id be glad to do that for u after Neff posts his write-up but I'll warn u...it gets very jumbled and hard to distinguish with more than 3 runs on one chart. Afterall 7 of the 9 Gs were between 227 and 233 HP...its just gonna look like a rainbow
I'v got a couple notes and comparisons I will post but I want to see Neff's write-up and see if he covered my thoughts.
One more note Neff will probably mention in the write-up. The software we can download has a slightly different SAE correction algorithm. I would assume the one used Saturday is newer and more accurate but not sure. Its not a drastic difference and most people will see 1/2pt higher using the software but Todd's actually posts 2 pts lower using this freeware software and i cant explain why other than to guess that the old algorithm didnt factor in some of the variables that Todd's mods help.
When u see the spreadsheet u will be able to see what they told us Sat but the curves u see are from the software we downloaded.

Maximum,
That's what is holding up the writeup. I'm waiting for PlatG to give me the links on 5 different url's so that I can link each one into a different spot in my write up. Once that's done, I'll post the news.
Also, everyone can download the dynojet SW for free. Jeff will host EVERYONE'S run for free. This way, your buddies with other cars can go in and compare their runs to yours (if they saved their own dynos to a floppy like we did). So Pimpinpearl could compare his run from a couple months ago to my run last Saturday and then we could see where his mods are gaining power over my mods (or vica versa). Then again the SW gives him the ability to increase or decrease the actual results by about +/- 10 rwhp by changing SAE correction factors, etc...
Wes reminded me that the shop technician did mention something about having newer software than the website, but it's within 1% so I wouldn't worry too much about it. The important thing is that we all have our PRINTOUTS to hang up in the garage .

Re: official TMS dyno day scrapbook post (unofficially
yes it was the same for all and i think it was at 0 because my 4th gear and some other people's runs were very rough.

Re: official TMS dyno day scrapbook post (unofficially
i would attribute that to wheelslip/hop or the car being slightly out of true with the drum.......
a "0" smoothing factor would show a very very shakey line (in my experience)
it'd be nice to find out somehow...

I had a great time meeting everybody on saturday and looking forward to the next meet.
I've posted all the dyno results here. You can download the dynojet viewer here to use with the results.

Sorry I didn't post these pics sooner. Wanted to organize them all, but it took while since I took 120+pics.

Had an awesome time at the dyno. Great meeting everyone and I hope we can all get together to do another gathering some day. Big thanks to all the tampa people who joined us. You brought out all the forced induction goodies.
Esemes, too bad you couldn't put that loaner on the dyno...It would have been nice to know what the sedan puts out at the wheels. How goes the vortech install?
