Ding removal - Jville

Howdy all,
I recently discovered a ding on my passenger side door and was wondering if anyone could recommend a place in jacksonville to remove it. I was just going to pop open the yellow pages and bring it to the closest place, but thought someone would have some first hand experience with a place in town. If you have shops not to go to, that would be appreciated as well =)

Thanks,
Andre

Try BDR paintless dent repair. Brad is the owner and does all the repairs himself. It's a mobile service that's done some motorcycle tanks for me with good results. His # is 813-9995.

actually, funny thing, at the last hooters meet there was a guy offering free dent removal for all the G35 owners. But guess you missed it.

Well, It turns out the dealership has someone that comes by the dealership that can do it, and since I am getting my tranny and clutch replaced this week, I'll let them handle it. They said it would probably be about 90-100 bucks. If they get crazy w/ the price, i'll look somewhere else, but otherwise, i'm just too damn lazy to pick up the phone. I'll let you know price and such after it gets done, likely end of this week or beginning of next.

Wow. I thought it was like 60 a dent. What's up with your tranny and clutch?

Call Dent Doctor at 997-1113 -located at St Johns Bluff. They do a pretty good job and have a mobile service.

BTW nice pics from the last meet. I was in Orlando with the family that week- maybe next time.

60 would be good stuff. I'll swing by dent doctor on the way back from work today. As for my tranny and clutch, my 6th gear has been grinding for the past 2 weeks. I have to be really careful making that shift now, which has at least kept the gear from grinding. I brought it to the dealership who took it for a teset drive, and next thing I know, im getting a new tranny and clutch. It's covered under warranty, so I don't really care what happened, as long as my gears stop grinding=)

Re: Ding removal - Jville

I'm on my 4th tranny and the problem still isn't fixed. I had grinding in 3rd and 5th and now 5th is fixed. 1st is hard to get into gear now. 3rd and 4th are sticking, but they aren't grinding yet. I'm going back to Atlantic Infiniti in the next couple weeks to have them look at it again. I was in there a couple weeks ago and they changed the clutch and gear assembly. They said if that didn't fix it they would have to replace the tranny again. I hope they fix your tranny right the 1st time. I didn't have any problems with 6th, so hopefully your problems are different than mine were/are.

Re: Ding removal - Jville

Your on your 4th transmission? Have you talked to them about it being covered under the lemon law?

Those transmission problems will show on the vehicles service history so when you go to sell or trade in the car, that history could red flag the car to some buyers. It sounds like you've had a lot of aggrevation with the car as it is, and you don't want it to come back to you later, even if they do finally fix the problem.

I agree, check out lemon law options.

If there is something good to come out of it, at least the guys at Atlantic Infiniti should be pretty good/quick at tranny replacements!! lol j/k.

BTW, keep us informed on dent removal prices. I posted a thread in this forum a little while back about this subject, when I discovered a ding on driver's door. Never did get it taken care of, and now I have a matching ding on passenger door as well.

Re: Ding removal - Jville

I'm a lazy bum. I mean, yah, I have been so busy w/ work , I didn't have time to call anyone for quotes, so I let the dealership take care of it for 100. I am pretty sure the dealership is abusing my laziness, or rather, I am letting them abuse me.

They have had my baby for 3 days now!!! The sedan is fine and all, but i'm going through serious coupe withdrawl.

On a random thought, not related to dings/transmissions, has anyone done the double din conversion?

Andre
