Re: Any NE Florida drivers?

Redwillow, I have a red coupe (black int.), but I rarely make it over to Kernan. I'm usually around Southside/Baymeadows. You'll know mine by the gold package(which I'm still working on getting removed). I know which red one your talking about though. Have seen him once. Heard he's on Hodges a lot too. One of the servers @ the new Ruby Tues. on Hodges told me he tried to race me once, in his black Supra on Hodges. I told him it must have been the "other" red Coupe.

Kinda surprised to hear a lot of "bad" experiances @ Atlantic. I went in, was treated excellent (even though I had to ask for help at first. Guess b/c I'm only 24, and look like 21-22 from what people tell me). I was at the dealer for like 30-45 min., and out the door with the Red 6-sp. off the showroom floor. No pre-order. Also, yes, Infiniti does offer loaner vehicles if your's in in their shop.

The dealer I purchased from in Atlanta said all Dealers provide loaners for Warranty repairs but its up to each dealership for Maintenance. I doubt Atlantic would give me one, for maintenance though, knowing I live here and didn't buy the car from them. Jacksonville really needs another Infiniti Dealer.
Atlantic Infiniti must think they are selling Ferrari's or something.

By the way, Roswell Infiniti in Atlanta let me take the car out for a drive ALONE before I ever gave them a nickel.

I'll keep my eyes open for ya. As far as I know, thats correct. 3 Laser Red's so far.

And JaxG has a white sedan, with blacked out windows in case you might see him around as well.

Re: Any NE Florida drivers?

I went in last night to Atlantic Infiniti and put a deposit down on a diamond graphite 6MT. They have a list of coupes coming in June and July, but of course all were loaded with the Premium and Aero package, so I had to order. I was told that the vehicle probably won't be in until early September / late August. The dealer's name was Bob V. Since I had to special order, I really couldn't deal. Basically no pressure pitch, paid MSRP, plus the stupid $295 dealer processing fee which is an absolute joke.

Well congratulations. But why don't you want the premium package?

Re: Any NE Florida drivers?

I passed on the premium package as I've discovered that I never use the sunroof (plus I'm 6'3" and it eats into the headroom) so I felt that I could put together a better sound system for the price they're charging for the Bose System.

Price was also played a factor as I already shattered the self imposed $30M barrier. In addition, My 2003 Maxima doesn't come off lease until the end of August, so the timing worked out fine with me ordering the vehicle as I didn't want to make any double car payments or roll the balance in.

Your 2003 Maxima lease ends in Aug? Did you only lease it for a year?

Re: Any NE Florida drivers?

I had a 3 year lease on my 2000 Maxima, so its finally coming to term. Infiniti is accepting the coupon NMAC gave me which waives the $350 dispo fee and up to $500 in excess wear and tear on the vehicle, so that clinched the deal for me.

With respect to Bob V, no he didn't let me drive one. The best I could do was sit in the diamond graphite automatic coupe in the show room that was already sold. He also informed me after I put down the deposit that he had no brochures but promised to mail me one when they came in. How exciting! Plus he'll show me all the bells and whistles on my car when it comes in.

I know the car has received plenty of raves, but not letting people drive the coupe in addition to the $295 dealer processing fee (They make enough in the margins on the vehicle when I'm paying MSRP for them to nickel and dime me like this. Has anybody been able to get this negotiated out?) is not going to help sales when supply starts to outstrip demand as it surely will in the months to follow.

PS - Any advice on where to go for auto insurance around here? I moved down from Michigan in September and I think my old auto insurance company (Met Life) is charging me too much. I'm 32, my record is clean and they quoted me about $670 for this car for 6 months which includes the multi-car and home insurance discounts. Does that seem too high?

Well, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed when it comes it. It drives great. Im with AMEX Assurance and pay about $1000 a year for full coverage. Their number is: 800 535 2001.

I'm off to get the windows tinted. Will keep you updated.

mick016.. I agree, I really wanted to drive the g35c, even just about .2 miles around the parking lot just to see how it rides, noise levels, comfort, and engine feel.
I wasnt going to beat on the car since its such a small parking lot and even offered him to ride with me.
