Drop coming this Saturday, I can't wait. Seems like sooooo long since my last mod. Photoshoot coming after the drop, prob some stills and a rolling shoot on 485. Pics to follow shortly.

John, if you're bored on sat, come on out for the install and photoshoot.

Hey OP. I'm up in Mooresville and I have some springs I'm looking to throw on, but i have about a month until I'm going to be free to throw them on. Would you be willing to give me a hand when the time comes that I need to throw them on (sometime towards the middle of August)? I'm fine doing the rear, but the damn fronts just seem a little tricky and I'd prefer to have someone around that has some first hand experience.

Anyway, LMK!

Jeremy- I still hate you for selling those wheels! (I'm kidding)

My boys are giving me a hand, so we'll see how it goes. I'm gonna use some of the diy info from here. I'll be sure to let you all know how difficult it is. Since I'm using my boy's compressor and all that, I'll have to check with them to see if they're down.

I picked up the Swift Sport springs. Not a crazy aggressive drop, but everything I've researched on the springs says they're awesome performance wise. I'm expected about the same drop of the z h-techs. I'm gonna drop it and see how it looks before I decide if I'm gonna do the springmount mod. Not a lot of info from the g guys on these springs, but some of the z guys are running them and they have given them great reviews.

Hit me up, after the install and photoshoot I'm heading to a kegger. My boy is having a party at his place for their turtle that they're setting free. Should be a riot.

Update, bad news, UPS effed up and the springs never showed up yesterday. Tracking said that they were never picked up in the morning at Charlotte. I drove down to the customer service center and needless to say the saturday 10-2 shift left a lot to be desired in terms of customer service.

They told me that I had to schedule a will call, and I was like, you missed the delivery date, Why can't I just pick it up? Had I know you were gonna mess up, I'd have scheduled the will call. Regardless, the springs were there but stored in one of the trailers in the yard, and the girls weren't too concerned with finding a way to get me in there. Overall a very crappy customer service experience, and I highly question the intelligence level of the people working there.

The girl looks at me and says, "you can call this number and set up a will call....for monday". I'm like, they're scheduled for delivery on Monday, and I need them today for the install, how is that gonna help me? She was doing everything she could to get me out of there anyway because her boyfriend just brought her some bojangles in for lunch and she wanted to go stuff her fat *** face with chicken biscuits while getting in some sucky face time. I'm seriously condidering calling in a complaint next week to her manager.

Sounds pretty sh*tty man. Whenever you do end up getting them and throwing them on let me know how it goes!

Done, Install went pretty smooth. The rears were pretty easy once we got the hang of it. Took a little over 3.5 hours, but we did the install at my boy Paramy's house, and we were missing 1 or 2 tools that would have helped, but the compressor was at his place.

I love the springs so far. Very similar to the stock ride, but the handling is much improved. I haven't got a chance to really throw it around, but that will be coming soon.

As for the drop, the fronts were spot on where I wanted to be. Perfect 1 finger gap. The rears aren't as noticable as I'd like, just a slight drop, about a 2.5 finger gap. I didn't do the springmount mod, but it's looking like I'm def gonna end up doing that.

Firestone has a deal for 149 lifetime alignments. I'm gonna take the car in on Friday for an alignment and see how it comes out. If there's still some adjustment in the rears, I'm gonna go ahead and do the springmount mod. If it's pretty tight, then I'm gonna wait until I pick up the rear camber kit and then do the springmount mod. I don't wanna do the mod and then kill my rears saving up for the camber kit.

All in all, a fairly smooth install. We made a couple mistakes that cost us some time, but I think we could have pulled it off in around 3 hours. Props to autozone for the free spring compressor rental.

Edit, better pics.
