I don't have an air compressor but I do have two covered parking area's next to each other for my car and my girls Z you can use if you want? I pay too much for management to bother me!

Oh trust me, so do I..... Unfortunately my job move down here was last second (literally got the call on a Weds and had to be moved down and at work the following Monday. Hadn't even looked at where my girl and I were moving into. My company packed up all our **** the next day and we took a uhaul with a car trailer and were calling apartment complexes on the way down... This is a long story for another time.)

Anyway, I don't have an air compressor either, but I am more then willing to rent a spring compressor. I'd rent an air compressor too, but I don't think that would fit in the G unless someone knows of a small compressor I can get my hands on.

You really only need the air compressor to compress the springs. You can do it by hand but it's a pain.

Check your spring instructions as well. Some of them might require that you cut a section of the front bump stop off. If they do, you'll also want a hack saw as well.

The bottom line is we really don't need an air compressor, but it helps.

I be willing to supply the place, I have a 2 car garage. If all we need is a day or 2, I get off work around 4p next Wednesday n dont have to be back to work until Friday at 4p. So that should be plenty of time to perform the swap. I have a breaker bar n torque wrench for the wheels, yes I am a stickler about the torque wrench. I caould ve wrecked on I77 because I did not correctly tighten the lugs on my 02 si. Luckily the wheel was held on by 2 of the 4 lugs the rest of the way home.

Let me know if this works for anyone.

We might need an additional jack as well, all I have is a cheapo northern tool set: jack and jack stands.

Well lets figure out a good time. I'm not available this weekend at all. One early evening next week might very well work for me... I'll bring an additional jack and a couple stands as well. Am I still bringing the spring compressor? This is not a problem, but I just need to know when I should be going to pick it up.

You get to keep the spring compressor out for 90 days I believe. So you can snag it and hang onto it for a while. We did mine one corner at a time, but with all the hands we'll have on site, if we get the whole car up on stands, we might be able to get a car done in under 2 hours.

I can go next wed, but I'm pretty much tied up after that. But once you guys do one car, you'll be good to do the other without me. But like I said, we might be able to get both cars done in the same night if we have 4 or 5 guys.

I did forget about one part we used the compressor on, getting the nut off at the top of the spring, but it's actually better to do it with wrenches, and that's the one thing I don't have. Does anyone have a set of metric open end box end wrenches?

I do not have a set of wrenches but I can go through my girlfriends tool box. Her dad was a mechanic, there is a draw full of wrenches. What size exactly???

I don't mind picking up a set of wrenches. It's nice to have for future projects too... So, I'm bringing:

Jack and Stands
Spring Compressor
Wrench Set
Springs
Car
Myself

Anything else needed?
