It looks like it would be just the 2 of us. I believe it would be a lot smoother if we had an air compressor, so I would suggest if you could acquire one that would be helpful.
I still have one of my springs in the spring compressor because it is a pain in the **** to sit there and uncompress it with a ratchet. That part alone took about an hour. Luckily did not have to compress the new springs to put on.

All in all the install took about 3.5 hours. This was with 3 of us working on it.
An air compressor with 2 people should cut this time down.

Don't forget, with the coupe, you're probably gonna have to compress the new spring to get it on there. Just keep that in mind.

And +1 to the alignment of the top mount of the front shocks. We didn't do it on mine and we paid for it. Very difficult to do in the fender well. We nailed it last night though, lesson learned.

Was able to get the spring out of the compressor myself. It is a matter of cranking on one side and then movin to the other side, and so on. Left side of car still looks great, right front still sitting just over 2.5 inches, while rest of car is just under 2.5 inches. Take offs are a lot smoother and turning is great.

Alright fellas here is where I stand now. I'm waiting to pick up my rear camber kit so I can drop my car and deal with that all at the same time. BUUUT I need some advice.... Should I get rid of the eibach pro kit springs and go with 350Z htechs or should I stay with the prokits and run through front tires faster then I would with htechs? I'm also planning on picking up new/used shocks for all four corners. Give me opinions people.... I still need to meet all you guys at some point too. When should we have a little meet?

I'd say stick with the pro kit. Tein tends to sag over time. Eibach is a better overall spring.

Tires won't be bad if you install that rear kit. Keep it in spec and you're golden. you can even ask the alignment guy to give you a little positive toe-in in the rear to help even more with getting rid of camber wear.

I'm running -2.5 degress negative in the front with some positive toe-in and I have no problems with uneven wear. Theres a little bit of cupping but theres no extra noise.

This is from the suspension thread:

"Eibach G35 Coupe progressive springs 1.1”/1” drop on G35 coupe
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 229/337 initial/final rear 274/463"

"Tein H-tech 350z linear springs .3”/.2” drop on 350Z G35 drop will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 358/375"

It is all in how you want the ride qualityy to be, The 350z springs I have on my sedan have the same spring rate as the stock set I had. So the ride quality is essentially the same.

We were talking about meeting next weekend, after checking my schedule it looks like Friday "9/11" will be the best evening to meet for me.

Parr, you should check out my car first. I love my drop, and I think it'll be perfect once I get my springmount mod. Advertised drop on my swifts is 1"F/.6"R. The ride is awesome on the swifts. I highly recommend them, although they're hard to find used and are quite pricey compared to the other options, 300 new.

Are your piaa's 19's or 20's? That will have a big impact on far you need to drop. I'm on 19's, and John swears my car is lower than his, and he's lowered a lot more than me.

350Z h-techs will drop you about the same amount as mine. My spring rates are low compared to others out there, but they're linear springs as opposed to progressive as most models out there are.

So you need to figure out what your goal is. Is it closing fender gap, or getting the front end down as far as possible. Depending on your wheel size and the answer to the above question are big factors in your decision.

I'm good for 9/11. Let's do this thing right. I'm thinking we meet around northlake for some food, then cruise uptown for a bit, then we can hit up a few spots.
