No sir, didnt get the text. PM me though, and i agree with alot of thoughts on "paying to chat". The economy is rough and i cant justify paying $40 to find out were everyone is going on a wed night. I do enjoy the events though and I did feel that that did come off kind of rude. But it is in the past, so let move on!

Ya know, i honestly had NOTHING against anyone on any of these car forums.... but this is my FIRST interaction with the florida G club president.... and i am very, very displeased. Borderline angry, and those of you that know me, i am not an angry person at all.

I really never paid much attention to the two threads that were moved... I don't like to gab much and I don't live in Orlando. The only way I knew there was trouble in those threads was when some one PM'd, texted, or phoned me to tell me about it. When someone brought it to my attention, I went in and read the threads. The problems were always in those two threads.
The two threads in question are part of the Florida G Club public forum. It's the first forum prospective new members usually look in to see what the FGC is like and determine whether they want to join. That forum represents the FGC to the public. When they see a thread with thousands of posts that contain pornographic video, argumentative people posting under fictitious names, and general mayhem for the fun of it, it gives our club a bad name.
...the FGC Board of Directors decided to move the two main offending threads into the Members Only area where we can control access. Everyone wants to blame me for this decision, because I actually moved the forums, but it was a FGC BOD decision.
I'm not sure how you can call this censorship? We moved two threads that were causing the FGC problems to an area that we can control. The FGC has always allowed anyone to post in our public forums. That has not changed. Future events will continue to be posted in the public forum. Whether people participate or come to the events is up to them.
I'm curious why so many people that are not part of our club want to post in our car club forum? Why not start a forum somewhere else? The BOD let it go on because we knew a lot of you liked it, but it served no purpose for the FGC. Most of those people were never going to join the FGC.
So, here's how I see it: "If you don't want to be governed by a car club's rules, don't post in a car club's forums!"

Well I am glad people are starting to see how Jb is First a comment about the college I go to, Lennox being a tool which is completely out of line for a president or leader to say and now how he thinks he is a higher power. Sorry but once JB steps down and a new president is in I would then Consider it. Is he a member on the 350z club of florida forums cause he goes to a lot of their events, and I would hate to see a non paying member contribute to a car club he has no part in.

And I already got over I was pissed this morning but I got out of the house and realized that I was an idiot for wasting my time on it. Oh well.

I can't believe you guys are still going on about this. I think you're all cool people, even Lenox. I have nothing against you, Lenox, genuinely. I just disagree with some of the words and actions you take.
You remind me of a friend I had when I was a kid. He was the type of person who was very talented and intelligent. He was actually a genius, technically. He was smart but not in the same way you are, since you're more of an artsy guy. But he also had a bad habit of doing things that were unnecessary. For "sh*ts and giggles* is what he would say. There's a time and place for everything, but I personally just got annoyed with some of the things he did. We grew apart once we went into high school. He contacted me for the first time in 5 years about a month ago. He moved to Texas to raise his son with his girlfriend (the son's mother). They've since separated and he has some bogus gig being a door-to-door salesman. And at 28, he's going to move back in with his parents here in Florida if he can get custody of his child. He's still as outspoken as ever, and doesn't have much respect for anything, much less other people. You can't be a rebel forever without some restraint.
Anyways, you guys keep saying that now this has forced us to pay money just to chat in the FGC forum. Last I checked, the public part of it is still open. Personally, I think JB (or whoever made the decision) should have continued to delete posts instead of moving the whole thread(s) but it was done. It's not like FGC members and FGC non-member can't chat it up in the FGC public forum. Just keep it clean. I mean, you have to admit, things have been getting out of hand lately in those two threads. Or continue here on this forum. *shrug* From what I understand, V will continue to post meets and things on the boards in the public areas. Just right now things have died down, I guess.
You're all a cool group of people. Outspoken, talkative, and entertaining. But after it's all said and done. Two threads with random, borderline useless chatter in a FGC forum has been moved so that only FGC members can post in it. Doesn't seem like a big deal. Just start a new thread (which Bryce has done anyways). Just this time, keep it clean!
Just like what I do for a living. Managing a bar means you have to allow people to have fun. But if you have too much fun, I'm going to cut you off and call LP (security). And I might have to chat with my bartender or server. =)
