I need help (ATL)

Hi guys, my car is having gear grinding issues ( 1 st 2nd gear)
and its getting worse and worse everyday. It happens most often in the morning. I am trying to go to the dealership this weekend, but I m afraid that they might not cover my car with warranty cause of my modifications. If you guys know any people from Infiniti dealerships, could you refer me?

what mods do you have? if you just have an intake or something simple it might be worth it to take them off and save the hassle.. then again some dealers don't care. my infiniti dealer in huntsville has installed some of my mods.

Roswell Infiniti sells new Gs with some of those installed. for example: Crawford plenums, cat-back exhausts(stillen), z-tube/popchargers and they have a rogue short shifter on display.
Plus, I don't think they could blame any of those mods on trans problems.

Ed Adams is the service director there and has always been very accommodating for me. I've only heard one story of an unsatisfied customer with their service department. But I haven't gotten the full story yet.

and I know of of atleast one trans(AuburnG) that was replaced there due to grinding going into 3rd gear.

And If I remember correctly, RugRatCoupe had his trans replaced at Gwinnett Infiniti. He had the same 3rd gear grind as AuburnG. I'm not sure who he deals with there though.

Since there has been a problem with the trannies, I don't think you should have a problem getting it replaced. You must replicate the grind with the tech driving the car.

The only mod I think they could gripe about would be the pulley, but unless you have a colored pulley they probably won't even notice.

If they give you grief, be firm, not ugly (at first anyway).

I talked to a guy with a Z and they replaced his tranny after he had the JWT flywheel and clutch installed. You should be o.k.

keep us posted.
