What kind of tint did you get, brand if known and percent?
How was the job they did, particularly around the dot matrix?

i love my tint job but I had it done in memphis

its 20% black all around
dont know the brand

and if i had it to do over, i would still go with 20%...its perfect....i dont think i could drive safely with 5% and besides i think 20% is dark enough
but for you, i would look in to the that silver tint...im not sure a brand or anything but it looks AWESOME on silver cars

I had the reflective tint on my silver mustang, it looked cool but I think I'm going to go with black on the G. I think I have 40% now and it's just too light.

I think I'm going to go with 20% Madico Onyx, I just need to find a good installer with references now.

As a reference, mine is Llumar and it's 30%. If that's too light for you Jeff you might want to go darker. The only problem is that the legal limit on the front windows is 28%, the rear windows are 18%. I don't like the way it looks with 2 different shades of tint, so I kept it legal all of the way around. Having a red car draws enough "unwanted attention", the illegal tint would be pushing it too much IMO.

BTW, I have been ticketed before on HWY 408 for having the 20% tint all the way around on my Honda...

 

not the reflective tint or mirror tint....i dont think that would look good...but there is a tint thats a silver color...i thought Huper made it but i looked and theirs seemed to be a black as well...


I think as long as the guy u use has 10+yrs experience (with the brand u use) then it will be done good...iv read Huper and some other top notch brands have a very thick tint for added heat resistence but it makes it much more difficult to install (as well as more expensive)

that similar to what im thinking but with a fade to black

and Huper tint does only offer 30% but from what iv read its more heat resistant and less see through than most 20% (but twice as much $)
