Just thought I'd ask... Does anyone look forward to these meets? I know Jeff and Josh have been skipping out more and more lately. Should we scale back for a while? Anyone have an opinion?

 

I wasn't able to make it to the last meet (out of town), but it doesn't mean I don't look forward every Friday hanging out with everybody. The one thing I don't miss is our super high tabs we've garnered at Trick Shots though which is why you found me more at the dart board than at the pool tables, that coupled with our bar tabs would make it a pretty costly night. But you have to admit...we all had fun didn't we?

I don't know if we should scale back, but maybe we still need to find a happy balance regarding the right meeting spot for those who live a lil farther away.

Still, we will still hang out (even if its not every weekend). We're at least better than those miami people. All those G35's and none can agree on where to meet.

Oh, and I voted Bush for president today.

I don't think the meets are getting old. Things come up that take priority. I enjoy meeting on Friday's. It gives us a chance to unwind after a stressful week. If someone's worried about cost we start doing something else like poker nights with minimal buyins or play for fun. Maybe meet at someone's house get some beer and hang out. I don't mind hosting the group occasionally if you guys don't mind the drive. If someone wants to look into getting an electronic dartboard we can also do that at someone house. There's plenty of stuff we can do.

 

Don't be silly.

Costs are an issue though.

Poker was fun and cheap and included dinner. Need to do that again.

We need to plan a Holiday family day.

i was actually thinking of starting a thread for another big outing but havent gotten around to it...I was originally thinking Dec 11th because us college kids will be done, but that may be too close to Xmas to have something like that...maybe middle January or February. Josh offered the springs in his neighborhood as a meeting place if im not mistaken.

As for the usual meets...i like them...people are gonna miss some from time to time (i'll be outta town this week) but having a weekly night out with the guys is a good time...i know the bowling alley on 50 has 6-7pool tables....maybe they are $1/game and we can start going there to save money
