Would anyone be interested in attending another Lokey Infiniti meet in Clearwater/Tampa the weekend of November 19? I know Wes, Sean, and I are fast approaching our 15k mile inspection (jeez...already?!? man, I drive this car too much) and we'd drive out to Lokey to have it done. It would be great if all of us (new ppl would be great too) from the previous meet could gather together again, eat some bbq and hang out.

Everything is still tentative at this point since I haven't even called John at Lokey yet. But I wanted to gage some interest in this idea. Please reply if you can go or can't go or think maybe we should reschedule this.

Can we get a price first? Im not gonna pay $300 to change a filter, add some fluids, and change the oil. Todd and I were thinking of doing a "mod day" at his or my house to do all the needed maintanence. I'd be more than happy to offer my house on Sat the 20th for Sean, Ian, Todd, and anyone else that is in need of the 15k tune-up or anyone that just wants to hangout (oil change part I'll take to Nissan so no spilling oil on my driveway) If John and Lokey will give us a good price (reads under $100) then I'd also be up for a Lokey Meet.

Ian, you can be in charge of setting it up, just let me know how much beer I need and what time to wakeup

Several things...

1. I am definitely ready for another Lokey Infiniti meet. I had a lot of fun at the last meet and I actually turned down an offer to ride in the Black G w/ the fujitsubo exhaust (stupid headache). Won't make that mistake again. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

2. For the 15,000 mile tune up what I *think* needs to be done is the following...
a. oil change
b. air filter change
c. in cabin micro filter change
d. a bunch of fluid checks and visual inspections
e. checking the torque on several bolts

In all reality, those of us with oiled air filters do not need to change the air filter and the micro filters are a pretty simple DIY, so the oil change and purchasing the micro filter would be the 2 main issues. We could easily take along the DIY write-up for the micro cabin filter swap and have Lokey do the oil changes. I think that they would do the standard fluid and torque specs for free (heck we're driving 90+ minutes to help them sell vehicles [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]). I'd be willing to pay for the in cabin micro filter and maybe $10-$20 for them to install it, but if they charge 30 min of labor (reads $45) then I say we do it ourselves either there or later on at someones house.

So with any luck, maybe John will see this post and chime in with a decent price for us.

I'm at 11,500 miles and just had an oil change and alignment at Orlando Infiniti. I will be nearing 12,000 by the time we get to Tampa so I will not need an oil change, but would be willing to buy the micro filter and do that portion of the service a little early.

So John, what do you think?

I am also at 14K right now. I was planning on the 29th of this month but a few weeks early won't hurt. I will give John a call in the morning and ask him to reply to this string. Neffster, you are were I want my G to be! Great picture!

Hello everyone!

Hope you all have been doing well. I have been checking this forum about once a week, but have had an extremely busy month of travel. I just got back today from another one of those trips!

I got a voice message from Grant today inquiring about a meet and asking me to reply on this thread. We here at Lokey would be more than happy to have you all out again for a "fun day". I know all of my employees had a great time meeting you all and seeing your cars. As you all know, we are now open for Saturday service so we are there every weekend. However, due to my other commitments to the business we would need to plan ahead for whenever we could do this.

What is best for everyone here? I assume that Thanksgiving weekend(11-27) would be a bad idea, especially for us married folks. Let's discuss this here. We may find that one of the first Saturdays in December could work well.....

As for your service needs, hopefully you all know that I will do the best I can to offer fair prices to you all. As stated above, some of you have air filters that don't require replacement so the service may be minimal in those cases. Being enthusiasts, a lot of you have less aversion to working on your own vehicle than my average customer so things like AC pre-filters might be DIYs for you guys. We will help you guys out with a parts discount, and also anyone not wanting to tackle the install themselves.

Discuss what dates would be viable for you all, and I would suggest having a primary and alternate date. We are fairly flexible on this end, but I would not be able to do 11-27.

How about Saturday, November 20th? This is one week before Thanksgiving and 2 weeks before the college guys start their finals. After finals, a lot of the guys will be heading home for Christmas, so the 20th is looking like the best bet right now (Ian and Daniel pointed out the finals and family/Christmas part last Saturday at our mini-meet).

Anyone else have any input?

 

im kinda in the same boat as the other college kids. I only have 1 final but lots of work to be done this last month...I like Dec 11th. It would be the day after all finals are over and I will still be in town. Is anyone jetting out of town that fast or can we all make it?

well a few of us in Orlando did the filter change ourselves so we would just be coming up for fun and to see everyone again...i wouldnt be able to make any weekend before new years because i'll be in and out of town alot.

Jan 10th should be good for me but if you have it sooner, i'll just catch the next one.
