Headlight Help

Today I had a headlight that went out. At first I thought it was the bulb but I tested the bulb on the other headlight housing and it worked. All my other lights work fine on the housing with the headlight problem. Does anyone know what could be wrong wiring? Fuses? Let me know if you have any information on this. Thanks

Check to make sure the ballast (gray electrical box) attached to the bottom of the headlight is not wet. You may have to take the headlight out. If it's wet then you can throw it in the oven on some tinfoil at 200 degrees for 15 mins and it should dry it up after one or two times... Worked perfect for me when my ballast got waterlogged.

I used the pressurized air from a tank of a paintball gun to blow out the water on the ballast ftw.

i wouldnt recommend putting the ballast in the oven..instead get a ziplock bag of regular white rice and place the ballast in the bag of rice...ensure the ballast is completely covered..leave it in there for about 2 days... moisture if any will be absorbed..sounds crazy but DOES work...also works on cell phones and other small electronics..if that doesnt work your ballast is bad..make sure the rubber ring that seals the ballast to the headlight is also on the headlight housing.
