Question Florida G35Club Non-members

We have around 80 people on this forum that are from Florida. Of that 80, 37 have signed-up with the Florida G35 Club.

I am just wondering, from both the current members and those that have not joined, what suggestions do you have to encourage the other 43+- to join up?

For the record... I had nothing to do with this post getting started, but I like the question (especially since I've been thinking about this for a while). Also, out of the 37 current members, close to a dozen were not originally members of G35driver before the club started. They either were recruited from 6mt.net or clubg35.com. I'd guess that there are EASILY 60+ people that read this forum and live in FL and have still not joined the Florida G35 Club.

My honest opinion is that 90% of those people have never been to a meet, a family picnic, a dyno day, etc... and have NO CLUE as to what they're missing out on. Remember, when I went to my FIRST G35 MEET last February, I knew NO ONE. Since then I've made about 25 new friends as a result of getting involved with this car club.

Now that the club has been started, I really thought that more people would have gotten involved.

If you are not presently a club member please post your name and a reason why below... It should look something like this.

1. Trentacinque - "Going to join before the dues go up"
2. b0hr - "Going to join up soon, don't worry"
3. FLskylineDUDE - "Your club blows man..." (fictitious person & untrue comment )

Hey it's not that difficult, if Todd got ME to join, we can get anyone to join!!

Whatever reasons these 43+ people may have, there is no such thing as being too cool to participate in a car club, meet some cool people and show off your baby at a meet. Some of these guys have modded their cars to look stunning (gstatus and turbomaxima first come to mind) so it's not the lack of enthusiasm either... I guess we really have to get our name out there around the Lokey meet. Hopefully people will see what they're missing out on and will join up.

Easy killer! It gets you what their club has to offer. IMO the $25 (soon to be $40) membership fee FGC requests goes a bit further.

*Club Membership (you're helping support a good NOT FOR PROFIT car club)
*Club T-Shirt (while supplies last)
*Chance to win multiple raffle prizes ($2200+ donated thus far)
*Free lunch at the first meet
*Discounts on new car purchases through Lokey Infiniti ($2500-$3500 off a new G )
*Discounts on service at Lokey Infiniti
*Ability to have a FLORIDA "mod friendly" dealership (heck they install S/C's and TT's )
*The ability to have 3-4 "ALL FLORIDA MEETS" per year at various locations across the state.
*A club website
*An exclusive club internet forum on G35driver (coming soon)
*Ability to fall under a group insurance "umbrella" for attending driving events, auto-crosses (or whatever the people in the club want).

And there will be other things offered as soon as the club has the funding to make it happen... a club banner, stickers, etc...

Right now we need several hundred dollars more to make ALL of the above happen. That's why I've been trying to get people to join the club now. Unfortunately all of the fees are due UP FRONT, thus the reason for the "Charter Membership" offer and the raffle ticket specials. We're so close to being able to pull this off, just need a little more support!!!

it just seems like you dont get anything for 150 you have to have put more money into your car, be wiling to go to shows, pay your own entrance, and stuff. it seems like they dont really give you anything for being a stage 3 member and payin the extra amount. just my thoughts

While I may tend to agree with you (hence the reason for the post) I don't want to start any wars w/ another club. I was just pointing out that I feel as if the FGC offers "more for the money" that's all.
