I own a 2004 G35 Sedan and my front driver side door will not open from the outside. The door unlocks and locks fine, and it opens from the inside but it outside handle has minimal resistance and will not open. Tried looking around and found some similar issues but mostly revolving around the actuator (which I don't think is my problem here). I am really NOT trying to go to the dealer on this since I know they will charge an arm and leg just to look at it. Hoping someone here with DIY experience can help.

Thoughts anyone??

 

Look at the window motor diy to get the panel off and see if something simple broke.

 

Sure enough... it was just the handle mechanism broke on the inside. Just replaced door handle and we are good.
