Re: Alabama PLEASE

Hi Gump,
I'm from Birmingham in North Shelby County right on the Jefferson County border. I've been on this website for a while but have stayed in the "G35 Sedan" area rather than going to the regional sites. This is the first time I've looked at it. SO, there are at least 2 G's in Alabama.
Ken

Re: Alabama PLEASE

Hey,
I live in Birmingham also and in the exact same area Ken. Right now I am still torn between getting a G35c or S2000. Both appeal to me in different ways. But anyhow, good to see that there are some people on here from this area.

Re: Alabama PLEASE

Well, therein lies my problem. I have yet to learn how to drive a manual, so if i go with the s2k i will be learning to drive it from scratch. I know, I know, what am i doing even considering buying a car i can't drive, but since i have no access to a manual car i'll just wing it =P If i do go with the G35c i'll probably get the auto for obvious reasons. My friend tells me manual is the way to go but all i have ever driven is automatic vehicles. But i'm willing to give the manual a try.

Re: Alabama PLEASE

Do you know the basics??? I had to learn from nothing...I had to go from whay i thought was right...It took me about 30 min. to get familier with everything ..Learning where the clutch catchs at is the worst part because you don't have to push it all the way down but if you ever want me to show you i will be happy to I'm from Montgomery..

Re: Alabama PLEASE

Call around to some car rental places that rent light trucks....Many of those are manual....

Rent it for a day, care free. You might want to get someone to go with you to drive it off so you don't look like a fool....

Also, GM is offering the drive it for 24 hours deal on test drives.....If you can stand dealing with a salesperson...

You can effectively learn to drive a manual in a few hours. It is all timing.....
