Re: Jax guys with Nav...

There is a company that makes a kit for it that says it only cuts into one wire, the rest is all plug and play.

Yeah, gas contamination. I got my car back last week, its good as new now, they did a great job. My insurance covered the repair cost, but Im still trying to get my $250 deductible from Shell.

Re: Jax guys with Nav...

well that is great news man, much better than the 600+ you were talkin about before.

I can't help you on the nav thing, i don't have nav. I did see a post from someone few weeks back saying the nav mod was not as hard as to do as expected. I think it had a link or phone number for a place in ATL that had a premade kit for it, instead of the assemble parts yourself thing that had been previously posted. Do a search, i'm pretty sure it was on here, not FA.

you getting in on this jax meet thing?

Yeah, the repairs were over $600, but I just had to pay the deductible.

I'm definitely planning on doing it soon. I'm also going to get a drop down screen for the back. I haven't shopped around too much but Best Buy has been advertising a Sony setup for $999.

Re: Jax guys with Nav...

That system looks like it has a lot of external wiring for a "not-so-smooth" install. There are like 2 extra plugs in the 12V. I want something very clean.
