Atlanta folks, are the dealers mod friendly?

I'll be moving to Atlanta in the next few months and I'm going to be ordering a spacer and Borla catback. I'm not worried about them seeing the spacer (99% chances they wouldn't), but the Borla catback will be obvious. Anyone had experience with the dealerships giving them trouble for certain mods?

On one of my visits to Roswell Infiniti, the service advisor recommended I install an aftermarket intake plenum they had on display at their parts counter. I think it was the Crawford unit. I said I wanted to hang on to my warranty, and he said as long as they installed it, they would cover it. I didn't dig any deeper, though.

Apparently the two major northside dealers (Roswell & Gwinnett) both stock & sell aftermkt parts. If they sell & install 'em .... stands to reason they would have trouble rejecting warranty issues because of them. No personal experience tho - I haven't told & they haven't asked.

I normally have mine serviced at Troncalli (Decatur). Although I don't have any serious mods, I've talked to them and they seem like they are mod friendly (especially if they do it). Not sure what all they do because I didn't dig deep, but so far so good.

If you take it to Nalley, get Rich as your service advisor. I am told that his crew is very mod friendly.

yep Rich Huffman is very "unorthodox" as he claims to be, but is real easy to deal with.

what I see is that most dealers don't like the suspension mod more than others. 90% of them refuses due to your car being lowered.

I dont want to throw Nalley or Rich under the gun but when my coupe was consuming oil (5 quarts every 1500 miles at that point) Nalley and more specifically Rich would not honor my warranty due to having Random Technology Cats, we did the oil consumption test and everything and by the end of the test they told me there was nothing they could do because of the aftermarket cats.

I ended up going to Gwinnett Infiniti because the engine blew a couple of later and they honored the warranty... from then on I only took my car to them if it needed servicing. I've dealt with all of the dealerships in the area and Gwinnett was the best.

That is really strange. I will be sure to keep that in mind if I have something major come up. Maybe it is worth the drive across town.
