has anyone else seen this show? i went to the one last night at the irvine spectrum's improv and it was some of the funniest sh*t i've ever seen. russell peters was the main headliner and i was laughing so hard, my brain started to hurt

anyways, for those of you who like stand up comedy...it's definitely worth checking out!

Yeah I've seen him he's the funnest **** ever. He does an asian impression so damn well even me being chinese can be fooled if I didnt hear him clearly he sounds really good LOL

 

dude hes cool but same act over and over. He recycles a lot of his material. I think its because I first saw his act last year and same one is floating around. I have another video of an act he did in New York. That one was pretty good but if your not S. East Asian you wont think its funny.

 

When material is reused it's becaused he appeals to the audience and to thosee who havent seen him, different area, new people, recycled materials for those wanting to know what is so funny... New material of course would be a PLUS. Recycling material as a comedian isnt always a bad thing.

 

Yup i guess he isnt as underground as i thought

saw him when he was at san jose state. funny show...the asian guy who was his opener was pretty funny too. Russell didn't reuse any of his past material and he capped on everyone from asians to italians to gays. The one thing that did annoy me was that he stopped the show everytime someone was video taping him.

haha, my favorite is Indian slave skit.

"Who the hell uses an Indian slave? My people don't do hard labor. Give us a calculator, we'll do your taxes. Can you imagine how pissed the first Indian slave owner was? Ok Raj, get in that field and pick the cotton. NO, I can't do it, I hurt my back. But let me tell you what we'll do... You.... pick the cotton. And I... will get the T-shirts made. And together.... We can wholesale!"
