Thanks everyone for the well wishes. It's my last day in Paris before we're off to Venice. Paris is amazing. Much better than I would have imagined. Language barrier can be rough at times. Weather has been brutally hot and humid. Catch you guys when I return.

Got back from Venice late last week. Was exhausted from traveling. 13 hours non-stop from LAX to Paris. 13 hours on an overnight train from Paris to Venice and 17 hours (with 2 hour layover in Atlanta) back from Venice to LAX. Both cities were fantastic. A lot more to see in Paris. Venice was really chill. Not much to do but relax. Both places were hot, Paris was sweltering although I heard it was even hotter here while I was gone. Jeff (1SUPERG) was in Paris at the same time doing his thing on the links. He can attest to the blistering heat. Glad to be back now. Here's some pics from the trip. Check out the pics of the Catacombs in Paris where the remains 6 million Parisians are stored in former underground limestone quarries!

Welcome back and congrats. Good to be home huh? I got back Thursday. My flight from Paris was 10 h 30 m on a 777. How did you get 13 h? Also, were you staying at the Concorde-Lafayette by chance? See you around...

Yes, nice to be home again. We were on an Air France non-stop from LAX to CDG. You're right about the flight. We were originally booked on a Delta flight with a layover in JFK but were bumped and put on the AF flight. We stayed at some really small hotel in south-central Paris.
