Going to refinance looking for advice/help...

Hey guys,

So it's almost been a year since I've got my 04 6mt, now I'm looking into refinancing it since I figured it would be a good idea to get a lower APR than what I have now. So could someone possibly give me some suggestions and advice?

Also when refinancing is it possible to get a little extra on top of what I owe :P that way I can get some rims LOL.

Hmm... I take it you are a n00b to finance & depreciating assets. Pay off the car 1st, then get rims.... otherwise, those 3k rims will end up costing you over 5k.

No I dont own a home but I am saving every month. including a fat 10% of my freaking paycheck every month goes into my 401k

In a few years I plan to buy :-) hopefully real-estate goes down by then... sheessh.

And to shimmy, thanks for the advice. Though I dont think I want to wait THAT long (5 years is a long time). To get what I want... I want to enjoy it before I hit 30 :P it's only a few years away!!! then comes marriage then comes kids man... I want to have a pimped out ride before I have a minivan . Beyond my stupid spending I have enough to live at least

So yeah I want to try and save money where I can but get the things in life that lets me enjoy life beyond what I need.

Hope this helps (Part Deux)

That's cool that you are saving for your retirement in a 401k. You should also look into a Roth IRA (if you qualify). I would only do the 401k up to the point of employer match, then do the Roth IRA. I'm in the same boat, just picked up my G35, I financed it only b/c of the low rates Infiniti is currently pushing, which I qualified for. But the financially wise will always tell you it's dumb to finance a depreciating asset. One reason I chose this car tho is b/c of it's high resale value. It won the ALG award so the Total Cost of Ownership rivals that of a $50k Audi. But I hear ya dude, I'm 25 and I swore before I bought this car that I wouldn't do any mods to it... hehe, but now I got all these ideas in my head. In any event, we're getting off topic.

So what rate are you locked into right now? For how many more months?
Are you looking to get a lower monthly payment?

Check out this site, it allows you to see your monthly payments for auto loans: http://www.bankrate.com/brm/auto-loan-calculator.asp
